Personally, I have learned with the basic expert advisors included in Metatrader (Moving average and MACD Sample). I have modified each parameter to see what happens, then I have tried to add simple features, like trailing stop, money management, etc... my knowledge has increased like this. Each time I have studied a bigger code, more complex with new options.

That's what I recommend to do.

I try to add some guides here, but sometimes it can be complicated as the tools can be specific to different kind of system.

The problem with that is that when you run into something that you want to research or look up the only recourse is to post on this forum and hope someone has an answer.
