    Default Question about ECN broker

    Funyoo:

This my be an elementary question to you.
What is the main difference in coding when you consider if broker is ECN = true/false?

I guess what I am trying to find out is, all EA creation may not be useable on ECN brokers, but don't know why (reason). Would you help me to understand this?

    Thanks,

    Hi 4x4me,

Standard broker : hard stoploss and takeprofit.
ECN broker : order generated without sl and tp. We add them once the order has been created.

    Funyoo,
So, in other words, if broker is STD, you can put market order with pre-configure SL/TP at the same time, but ECN brokers, you have to put order first, then, once order is triggered, you can go back and fill in the SL and TP? Am I understood it correctly?
So, if my understanding is correct, ECN broker; if I am using the EA, I should see modification after each order is placed, there will be modification of the order of SL and TP. Correct?
    Thanks for this education!
