I'm using the default settings, and yes, Megadroid racked up the same loss last night.
Another 0.1 loss that cost me $65
Well, these kinds of losses happen in the backtests too, so I am not worried. I will post my 10 year backtest graph later on. It is somewhat amazing.
so to me the best test was test 2, recovery set to true and agressive set to false that test gave the best balance when taking into account the DD and overall profit
That is what i have my megadroid set to!
Here's a close-to-10-year backtest on Megadroid. It takes a $1000 account into $1 million in 5-6 years.
Of course, once it hits $1 million, the lot sizes exceed 100, so in reality you wouldn't be getting your 16 million - but by then I don't think you'd really care too much
That said.... the problem with closed black-box EAs is how do we really know that Megadroid hasn't been backtested and made to fit a ten year period?
In any case, it's probably worth risking $1000 for the chance to get $1 million

Just FTR, I did my backtests on FXDD data.
I'd be willing to trade with aggressive off once I'd cleared one million thoughAt that point, I'd want to keep the profits running smoothly without much drawdown.
I've already figured that I can risk $1000 and go balls-to-the-wall with it on the default aggressive mode anyway. Let's compare notes in a few years from now

After demo testing and reading some of opinions here I've decided to go live with Megadroid. After attaching the EA to 1hr EU it just hangs at the authentication status. Tried it on two different live accounts with the same hang. But I had no problems attaching and authenticating to my first demo account. Anyone familiar with this issue or why this is happening? Otherwise I've opened a help ticket with support to see what they say.
21May(thursday)was Europe bank holiday, as theory the big boys might leave the market and only back on Monday. Friday might be false signal day, so I turn off the EA 22MAy and luckily avoid the lost. Somehow still need some human effort on managing profit EA.
