It is a mystery of the world, because I run Megadroid across three live accounts. Currently, only one of them has a trade ongoing (profitable yet again), while the other two are completely idle.
I dare say that spread has something to do with it.

Hey Neo-Rio, is the one that traded a fixed spread account. I have noticed in my expert journal that during the time MD is ment to trade it reports 'safe spread limit exceeded' pretty much the whole time it is within MD's trading hours (as high as 14pips!!!), but when I watch the spreads on the MT4 platform they are no higher than 3-4 at worst?
A friend of mine with the same broker (but useing a different EA that also checks safe spread limits) found that he was having the same problems. He upped the spead limit in his EA to 5 and then the next spread check reported it exceeded at 5.7, he then upped it again to 6 then the next report said it exceeded limit by 6.5. He did this until he got to 8 with the same outcome and stopped in fear of entering a maxed out spread entry.
It makes you wonder if Brokers have found a way to limit profitable EA's that check for spreads without interfearing with everyone elses spreads.
In one regard MD's own trading stats report has slowed as well and I'm happy with my broker till proven guilty, but it is all a bit strange.

yes good point. I know you can change the spread limit for say fapturbo so i don't seem to have a problems with that one, my fapturbo seems to be trading very consistantly and profitable every week.

Megadroid was doing well and trading 2 to 6 times a week and every trade a winner, the last few weeks nothing at all. The problem with megadroid you can not change the spread limit like you can with fapturbo.

However that said my broker gomarketsaus has the eurusd at 2 pips or lower consistantly, infact most times it has a spread of 1.5 pips yet in my journal tab is says safe spread limit exceeded, so how can a spread of 1.5 pips be to high fore megadroid to trade, even with those low spreads is still says in my journal tab safe spread exceeded makes no sense.

It has been great up until the last few weeks then nothing, however the spread is the same back when it was trading and being profitable as it now, what gives How could a Broker have found a way to limit profitable EA's that check for spreads without interfearing with everyone elses spreads is this possible!!

    Something going on.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that abount 2 weeks ago GoMarkets after hours trade desk contact number changed and now you have to call a NZ number. GM is a non-trade dest provider with an ECN "style" price feed, they are not a true ECN Broker. They have been an excellent broker but I wonder if the new 'desk' (if it is new) could have their fingers in the pot if at all possible?
It would be interesting to know how MD gets its spread values, I would assume straight from the MT4 platform but if it sends a call function to the server it wouldn't be hard for a Broker side program to see the request and send a false spread value back. But a broker wouldn't do that.....
We could all be just seeing a dry patch and getting paranoid .

    Hi Wannarich.

    Bobkat Here,
It's Done Nothing For Me Either.
I've Noticed In The Morning GO MARKETS Spreads
    Are Over 3-3.5 For EUR/USD.
Maybe They Jack Up The Spreads To Stop EA'S Scalping?
It's Not The First Time Brokers Have Done That!
