I know this thread has been inactive for a month, but I wanted to post an update.

Against my better judgement, I bought the 6-month trial of PrecisionTypeA. It just made an identical trade to MegaDroid. The exact same entry, exit, stop loss, and position size. So that's just one more confirmation that they are using the actual MegaDroid strategy within PrecisionTypeA.

So is the consensus here that these guys are scammers? Is there any possible legitimate explanation for all this?

    Default Not sure

Scammers or not, their EA rocks...

I emailed them directly about this, and asked if they had licensed the rights to include Megadroid as one of the multiple strategies within their EA. This is the response I got:

"There is a lengthy explaination about the strategy used and we cannot reveal it, but we can say that the strategy cannot be copyrighted to anyone in particular as it is a shared information."

So I guess they are saying it's public information, the strategy that Megadroid is using, and so it cannot be copyrighted and so they have no need to license it. That may be true if they are simply using the same basic strategy, but if they are using the precise Megadroid dll file, then that doesn't seem cool.

Default DLL is to make decompiling trickier?

I emailed them too, and I was told the Megadroid dll is there to make decompilation tricky. They sent me the robot that didn't need the dll file, and it runs the same without the megadroid dll

I just received that from them too. I don't know how it solves anything though. I'm not sure what to think about the whole thing.

I mean, it's nice that they aren't using the MD DLL anymore, but that doesn't change the fact that they had been! And isn't that the point?

Hey guys, check out our site to see how we gained 42% in only 2 months on a real-money account using PrecisionTypeA. And we did this using conservative money management settings, which gave us only a 13.66% max drawdown.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hey Mike,

Your site is actually the reason I know PrecisionTypeA exists! I bought the trial version of it and Accura through your site.

What is your response to all of this controversy that's been discussed on this thread? I'd love to hear your take on it, since you are running the robot and are an affiliate.

Oh, and by the way, great site! I think you killed off Winalot prematurely, and without getting the full version which runs on at least 3 currencies, and I'm surprised you haven't pulled the plug on WSS yet, but other than that...

    Hi JVRacing,

Thanks for buying PrecisionTypeA via our site.

And yes, I have noticed that there is one particular logic within PTA that takes the same trades as MegaDroid. But, as can be seen on our site, MegaDroid has barely broken even the past few months. Clearly, the other 10 logics within PTA are doing the brunt of the work.

As for the legality of using or "borrowing" MegaDroid's code (if they did in fact use it), I view it as a matter between RapidForex and the MegaDroid people. As for the ethical/morality issues, to me, that's a matter between RapidForex and God.

I do. Overall positive, pretty slow with some DD but ok. Had to filter out some of the signals, maybe due to broker
