Thread: Adaptive Expert Advisor

Before being in the currency market I am a Mechanical and Electrical Control Engineer

I ‘ve been in the currency market for quite some time , but I only learned MT4 programming in 2008, where in the same year I was able to reach the 11th position in the MT4 championship something probably I shouldn't brag about because I used a high risk expert based on a simple idea “cycles “ and the code used a martingale engine, but I knew what I was doing because before being a programmer I am a trader.

For me the learning process in MT4 programming was going in exponential curve, thanks to the help of people like funyoo, also I combined what I know in control theory in trading .

in 2009 I used the help of a “Paid” Russian programmer to create an expert that optimize itself frequently, it was a big breakout code, but I have ambitious to create something better.

Long story short, I started to create a code based by asking myself the question “what if” and the answer was an expert that adapt itself for the market, an expert that will learn from the mistakes and will keep the mistakes to a minimum , this is not a neural network" code its an adaptive expert, which is way more powerful than neural network approach.

The expert can work on small accounts as well as big accounts, and currently the expert opens one trade only at a time, however there are three algorithms for placing trades in the code.

The expert is not a scalper, on each trade the expert aim for 500 pips with a stoploss of 150 pips, however the expert can close at 2000 pips or more and the stoploss can be 10 pips this is due to the smart trailing stop that was designed and tested separately.

I am currently on the second phase of the development to add scale in trades, those trades will be small trades with small take profit and small stoploss and will have a new trailing setup all of which will be tested alone before added to the main code, the expert can stay days, weeks or even months in a profitable trade because of the smart trailing system.


I did few backtests and currently testing the expert live on Alpari UK and InterbankFx live accounts, I can post some screen shots for the trades but nothing about the backtest, history or how the expert works , nor I will be sending any.
