Actually you dont need this indicator for the ea to work. VForce Like EA uses basic indicators found in meta. Funyoo created this indy for demo purposes only.

Chong not sure what youre doing wrong. I would just google search how to run an ea it sounds like youre doing something fundamentally wrong.

I would like to see this optimized over a few more years than two. 2007 to now peforms well, 2007 abd before it was dizmal, nothing but losses.

It would take quite a while to optimize from say 2000 to 2009, but not much one can do there. I would be happy to perform the test, but i for some reason am having problems with optmizing at the moment.

It does not seem to be working and i don't know why!

The message i get after optimizing is "There were 1 passes done during optimization, 1 results have been discarded as insignificant"

Thats because it produced a loss. Go to the optimization graph and uncheck 'skip useless results' and it'll show up next time.

As I said in earlier posts, I dont think this EA will ever produce consistent wins over many years until the ATR functions get a little better improvement and a PSAR/time filter, or something like it, gets installed to constrain losses.

Its a great ea, just need an ambitious programmer to tackle some of these issues, which are pretty minor from a programming perspective, but big otherwise.

    Default ATR/PSAR/time filter improvements implementation

I ve started to learn the V2 code and more or less succeeded with that. I will add improvements, mentioned in my first post soon.
Please tell me what changes do you think are necessary in ATR/PSAR/time filter and I'll implement them.
    Surely, funyoo should approve them.

If it is I am a little confused which one to use, this one or the one over at the FF with richboys EA?

    Hello members,

i tried this ea on demo, but looking at the journal there is always a message saying " ordermodify error 130" what's wrong with it ?
I'm currently using a 5 digit broker and changed the values for the Stoploss, TAkeprofit and Margin Pips (multiply the value with 10).
    Can anybody help me ?

    Cool gbpjpy

I tried it last night on the GBPJPY 1 hour and it made a few great trades. It also made some strange ones.
(146.999 147.000) It entered at the first figure and the 2nd figure was the stoploss. How can you have a stoploss 1/10th of a pip away?

Don't get me wrong I'm not moaning here. I've attached the trades in a pic and you can see the losses were pennies and the gains were largely 40/50 dollars.. Just a bit confusing is all..

    hi winias,

i downloaded that vforce file 8138-vforce-like-ea-vforce-like-indy.mq4 then i copied this file in the expert folder under programe file-metatrader-expert.

then i open metatrader, saw this 8138-vforce-like-ea-vforce-like-indy.mq4 under the expert advisors, in gray colour.

i tried to drag this to chart eur/usd but no smile face show on the right side.

i right click and select attach to chart but still no change.

have i done it correctly ?

    thanks

    chong

It does not show a graph, it just says "There were 1 passes done during optimization, 1 results have been discarded as insignificant"
