Thread: vForce Like EA

  1. #211

    Default

    Well, I attached Vforce ver.2.03 to a few H1 charts on a demo account Sunday night. I used lot size 0.15 so got trades at 0.12 and 0.03 lot size.

    So far this week it made 7 trades on GbpUsd = $244.50 (all winning trades)
    and 3 winning trades on UsdJpy = $119.84
    and 2 winning trades on EurJpy = $72.65

    Each trade includes 2 trades (80%, 20%)

    BTW the EurUsd pair has not traded yet but has a pending trade at the moment as does the UsdChf pair.

    This version looks good to me, but keep in mind it is on a DEMO account.

    cheers,
    hammy

    Smile Some questions and improvements?!

    Hi funyoo and maximf ,

    I can't get 2.03 version working so I'm still testing version 2.0.
    What's the purpose of "Expiration" parameter?
    I saw this piece of code:

    extern int Expiration=20160;//|--------------------expiration in minute for the reverse pending order

    and after that

    if(Expiration>0)Expire=TimeCurrent()+(Expiration*6 0)-5;

    So I think, correct me if I'm wrong, it used to set the stop orders' expiration time right after:

    Ticket1=OrderSend(Symbol(),OP_BUYSTOP,ILots1,High[i]+MarginPips*Point,Slippage,SL,TP,EAName,Magic1,Exp ire,Blue);
    Ticket2=OrderSend(Symbol(),OP_BUYSTOP,ILots2,High[i]+MarginPips*Point,Slippage,SL,0,EAName,Magic2,Expi re,Blue);

    Ticket1=OrderSend(Symbol(),OP_SELLSTOP,ILots1,Low[i]-MarginPips*Point,Slippage,SL,TP,EAName,Magic1,Expi re,Red);
    Ticket2=OrderSend(Symbol(),OP_SELLSTOP,ILots2,Low[i]-MarginPips*Point,Slippage,SL,0,EAName,Magic2,Expir e,Red);

    I really don't understand the operation ("TimeCurrent()+(Expiration*60)-5"), Expiration's in minutes right, but why minus "-" 5? If you use 20160 as default you get approximately 14 days for a pending stop order!! The signal's still there 14 days after? Do you close somehow orders before? that's what we should expect? Should we get several stop orders in opposite direction?

    Would It be much easier defining Expiration parameter in seconds? Just a thought!

    If I do so and I change some input parameters:

    Code: if(Expiration>0)Expire=TimeCurrent()+Expiration; (?)
    Inputs:
    LotsPercent2=50; //no more ordersend errors!!!!
    MaxLots=2; //my acceptable risk!!
    Expiration=14400; //4 bars max

    Attached results for 2007-2009:

    Parameters as default:
    Profit: 596.5%
    MDD: 32.91
    RDD: 32.91%
    Profit factor: 1.35
    Expected payoff: 2.96

    With my parameters:
    Profit: 570,1%
    MDD: 19,70
    RDD: 58.8%
    Profit factor: 1.54
    Expected payoff: 5.22

    I personally prefer the last one's.
    Can you comment those results?

    You guys you've been doing a wonderful job in this thread, thanks!
    I'm forward testing 2.0 version so far good!

    Lucky trading!

    Default I really like

    The 2.01 version, keep getting errors myself on the 2.03
    but if you add the bbmacd v6, as an entry option at least..
    but entry and close is fine as options, like on the gartley ea..
    it eliminates alot of the potential bad trades or drawdown even
    of good trades... vforce2 says trade but bbmacd doesnt...
    seems to me if vforce still says trade and bbmacd changes to agree
    we enter trade. What do you think mr funyoo?

    thanks

    Hello redstorm1981,

    I didn't understand the Expiration variable and also got OrderSend errors when trying to use them. Therefore, I updated the code such that the problem would not occur.

    Thanks a lot for discovering what does it mean.
    funyoo, can you please approve the suggested code?

    Hi daldup,

    I've added an ExpertComment parameter, allowing you to write what you like.
    Attached is a Ver 2.04 of the EA.

    Talking Hammy

    So you have been using v2.03 default otherwise... ok good to know, thanks!

    I have been using 2.01 with the set file funyoo provided basically
    and its been doing well. I just see clearly the bbmacd v6 would
    be a great filter to just better time the entry and now and then
    prevent a bad trade.

    Default OrderSend Error

    It would appear that the orderSend errors 130 and 131 we have been experiencing are to do with the money management part of the ea. In V2.03 you can disable this and it seems to fix the problems provided you have made the necessary adaptions for 4 or 5 digit broker.

    Funyoo, could you please look into this? It would be cool to have MM working....
