Thanks funyoo.
This EA is simple but i must say a very consistant one, if you optimize it well over the long term, it could be a very good money maker![]()
Thanks Funyoo with the great job on the EA! Very promising.
Let's face it, we think analog-linear and live in a fractally-constructed world...
Quick comments:
1) I'm pretty sure you meant "long" for "short" in the blue and red colors on your first post.
2) "Out of the Box" the EA opens positions but doesn't close them until the end of the Strategy Tester period, which means we have to think about the MM and choose carefully.
As I see it, the MM you're using gives a good profit, but your MM setup yields an avg profit of $122 / win trade and avg loss of $1057 / lose trade...The first three trades have you down over 10% equity...here we go again...
While looking at the trades, I noticed something obvious: If you go long/short at the outside bands and TP at the middle line you get a kind of Center of Gravity system with 11 winners and 3 losers..and the losers are SMALLER than the winners on avg. (In this case I used a second touch of the same fractal band as the SL point...seems poetiic justice since it indicates a failure of the system/trade by definition)
Think it's worth a mod to the EA? (With or w/o SL strategy)

Interesting Soquell, but what to do when the market is trending strongly? Channel type indicators suffer from this when the market is not within some kind of range. Please correct me if I am wrong here.
Buy on lower band and sell on upper band with profit target of the inner center band so when the market trends strongly there will inevitably be runaway losing trades. Does it not make sense to have some stop loss somewhere even if it is a wide one? I don't think the rules you posted would work in practice. Will do some backtests on this EA to see how it performs. Thanks for sharing the ideas.
