Theorically, there is no reason why it should work in demo and not in real.

In practice, demo and real accounts can have different spreads (when the spread is increased on a real account at certain hours, it is not necessarily increased in demo), you can have also more "quotes issues", "trade context is busy" messages, "too many requests" messages, ... a slippage quickly exceeded, a lower rapidity of transaction, etc... that's why it would be better to test only the codes on real micro accounts instead of demo. But not everybody has a such capacity.
