    Hello,

Could you modify this EA to simply open an order once a certain price is reached?

    funyoo,

I realize this is an old thread...but I think there was a misunderstanding here. I think what he was trying to say is that for the user to be carefull when turning the EA on (the one in the opening post).

Its best to start up early in the signal. Not midway through the move. After the initial start up the EA takes over and then there is no problem.

    funyoo..

There seems to be a problem with the logic.

The short should be if the opening price is lower than the opening price of the previous bar and is under the 30SMA (user defined) then go short.

You see...This EA is not merely a cross ma type of system. Funyoo has added an "add to" position input and a "max orders" input to control when and how many orders accumulate while following above or below the SMA that you choose.

hint: Combine this with rangebars for an intriguing look into trading this system.

P.S. I miss this place...I am thinking about contacting funyoo about my membership in Elite again...I am hopelessly lost in testing EA's and gambling. I cannot break away from it. I have learned something about myself during my break. I need to forward test EA's longer, rather than to look for the quick fix ☺ When I look at these equity graphs of some of the backtests here...I ask myself...could I really forward test for two years and endure no profit?...this is a tough question and one must choose the EA's carefully that he wishes to commit to. Going live is the gambling part and the longer the forward test in Demo the less the gamble in live...but then how much time do you have or do you trust backtests?

May a gentle upward slope without cliffs be awaiting you .... (graph readers...you know what I mean)

To simplify the start-up of this EA. Is there a way to code in the initial start-up to activiate after the first cross is realized? I am in no hurry as I just went ahead and turned it on and took a loss (HeHe time is more valuable to me than money...eh...that may be my problem...lol)...but for the longer term traders here they would have to wait to turn on the EA (opening post) and be glued to the screen maybe for some time before turning it on.

See attached screenshot about the error in this EA and the problem with the logic I spoke about in an earlier post (the open should be lower when below the MA and going short). Make sure and scrole to the right for another annotation.

P.S. funyoo..I hope you do some work over here on the ghetto side (free) ☺. In my opinion you need to, so that you get new subscribers over in Elite.

after short look at v2, 20/30 ma cross, may not be the right values for your timeframe, i think a complete 99% backtesting + optimization from M1 to D1 (2008-2011) may produce better settings
