Is there a way to put a function in here to wait and confirm what the correct entry signal will be? It seems the EA is getting thrown off in the transition period when it changes from buy to sell (or vice versa) and the indicator gets mixed signals before a good signal. The EA goes off the first signal in the transition period, which may be the opposite of what the good signal will eventually be. Possibly a small sleep function might work?

In backtesting, I have not seen this issue about that.

You can still add Sleep(300000); at each OrderSend line, before return(0);}.

    funyoo,

I cannot get x2 to trade on a live account....but I can on a demo....why is that? I use IBFX mini USD. I get no errors in the tabs....maybe I need to wait a little longer....maybe its nothing.

    Hi ElectricSavant,

Yes it is maybe a question of patience.

I must laugh at myself at times....x2 is trading now, all I had to do was to wait ☺

VQ x2 picks its trades carefully on the longer H4 TF....but once its in...it is always in.

    Hi Funyoo,

Could you add the attached MACD indicator to this setup as a third filter? Only enter when both VQ's have the same signal and MACD is crossed (confirming both VQs). Exits will remain the same (exit on next confirmation signal). Thank you for your help!

    Here is another version.

The trade will be close at the opposite signal generated by the "small VQ".
