    Default MACD Fractals EA

    Long rules :

If we have a lower peak with the MACD (the MACD signal goes down, then up), then we enter a buy pending order over the last upper fractal on which we add a margin of 100 pips. We will close the pending order after 225 minutes.

    Short rules :

If we have an upper peak with the MACD (the MACD signal goes up, then down), then we enter a sell pending order under the last lower fractal on which we subtract a margin of 100 pips. We will close the pending order after 225 minutes.

    EU M15. Since 2005.

    Total net profit : 915.45%
    RDD : 29.53%

The detailed statement is too heavy to be attached.

    Default 100 margin?

First, thanks for posting this EA. Is 100 margin necessary? I noticed that by putting such large margin the EA does not open any trades in weeks and weeks. Does that make sense? I use 15 for margin (custom) and had profitable trades every few days or so.

    Hi biotrader,

With a margin of 100, the EA is supposed to trade only big and suddenly movements, reducing theorically the risk of pullback.

    Hi Funyoo!

I understand the Long/Short rules, but can you elaborate on how the trades are managed, i.e. what are the exit rules, ....etc?

    Thanks!

    Hi victoriaconseils,

With the default settings, the trades are closed on the opposite signal. With the set file, the trades are closed on stoploss and takeprofit; there is also a trailing stop enabled after 10 pips of profit.

    Hi Funyoo

Another great system. When you post your set files, could you post your optimisation ones? So that the variable values and steps are included? Then others can run the optimisations on other currencies and see if we get good results to share too?

Thanks for all your good work! This forum is by far the best of its kind on the net. Well worth the $99 subscription!

    Hi Luther_Blissett,

I rarely do optimization with several parameters tested with start step and end at the same time. For these values, you just need to test first the entry logics, then the sl, tp, ... and finally the mm. You begin with a wide window (start-end), you reduce this window around the best values, with smaller step, etc...
