Thread: Daily OHLC EA

  1. #1

    Default Daily OHLC EA

    Basic conditions
    Traded foreign currencies: GBP / USD
    Trading terminal: MetaTrader
    Type of Art: Japanese candle
    Chart period: 30 minutes
    Used indicators: No
    Tradable lot: arbitrary, but is always constant
    The maximum number of entries in the market for the trading day:
    the channels - 3
    the midline - is not limited

    21:00 (GMT)

    1. Preparation of schedule.
    (indicators and advisors do not take this principle - Strange Brains My Otshibayut)
    I conduct 3 horizontal lines. One of the very high value (High) of the current day, the second lowest value (Low). The third line is drawn at an average price (Average) between the maximum and minimum values. (High + Low) / 2.

    Trades to be conducted on 30 M period on following conditions

    2. Analysis of schedule.
    I watched the opening price of the day position (Open) and the closing of the day (Close) reporting period, on the resulting rectangles. For me there is only 5 possible positions:

    2.1 LowLow (LL). Open and Close are located below the Average.
    * Open <Average and Close <Average On day Chart Candle - Doji tombstone (inverted umbrella)

    2.2 HighHigh (HH).
    Open and Close are located above the Average.
    * Open> Average and Close> Average
    On day Chart Candle - Doji dragonfly (umbrella).

    2.3 HighLow (HL).
    Open situated above the Average and the distance between the Open and Average of at least 10 points. Close is located below the Average and the distance between the Close and Average of at least 10 points.
    * Open> Average and Close <Average and Average-Close> 10 and Open-Average> 10
    On day chart candle - Marubosu black, black candle.

    2.4 LowHigh (LH).
    Open is located below the Average and the distance between the Open and Average of at least 10 points. Close is located above the Average and the distance between the Close and Average of at least 10 points.
    * Open <Average and Close> Average and Close-Average> 10 and Average-Open> 10
    On day chart candle - Marubosu white, white candle.

    2.5 Average = Close (AR).
    Same as in paragraphs 2.3 and 2.4, only the Open or Close is located less than 10 points from the Average.
    * Abs (Average-Close) <10, abs (Average-Open) <10.
    On day Chart Candle - Doji, Harami cross.

    3. Placement of orders.
    Depending on the options given above are arranged order:

    3.1 HL / LH (I play on the breakdown of the channel and rebound from the average)
    3.1.1 I put a stop order to sell at the lower boundary.
    * Sell stop (Low), stop loss (Average), trailing stop (50).
    3.1.2 I put a stop order to buy at the upper boundary.
    * Buy stop (High), stop loss (Average), trailing stop (50).
    3.1.3 I put a limit order to rebound from the average.
    * Sell / Buy limit (Average), stop loss (High / Low), trailing stop (50).

    3.2 HH / LL (play within the channel and the breakdown of average)
    3.2.1 I put a limit order to buy from the lower boundary plus the reversal stop order.
    * Buy limit (Low), stop loss (Low-37), trailing stop (50).
    * Sell stop (Low-37), stop loss (low), trailing stop (50).
    3.2.2 I put a limit order to sell from the upper boundary plus reversal stop order.
    * Sell limit (High), stop loss (High +37), trailing stop (50).
    * Buy stop (High +37), stop loss (High), trailing stop (50).
    3.2.3 I put a stop order on the breakdown of the average.
    * Sell / Buy Stop (Average), stop loss (High / Low), trailing stop (50).

    3.3 AR. (Play within the channel).
    3.3.1 I put a limit order to buy from the lower boundary plus the reversal stop order.
    * Buy limit (Low), stop loss (Low-37), trailing stop (50).
    * Sell stop (Low-37), stop loss (low), trailing stop (50).
    3.3.2 I put a limit order to sell from the upper boundary plus reversal stop order.
    * Sell limit (High), stop loss (High +37), trailing stop (50).
    * Buy stop(High+37), stop loss (High), trailing stop(50).
    3.3.3 I put a stop order on the breakdown of the average.

    Hi eforex,

    Thanks for sharing your trading system,

    2.1 I don't understand, you compare the open and close of "the day position" to the average made with high and low of the current day.

    What is the day position, the current day ? the open and close are those of what bar in the past, what timeframe ?

    Hi eforex,

    I get similar results, there is nothing wrong with the logics.

    On the long run, the strategy seems to generate bad results.
