    Default Buy_Sell Signals

    Hello Funyoo,

    Would you be so kind to prepare an EA to use the Buy_Sell indicators.
    Attahed is the indicator.

    Thanks a lot

    This indicator is programmed in a way that it will repaint. I'd suggest that one doesn't trade based on this indicator.

    It looks good on the chart but when taken live, it is likely to result in pretty huge losses.

    Reason : The calculation of these points is done from the right side of the timeline to the left whereas when we trade, time moves from left to right and not the other way round.

    Hello Funyoo, thanks for the EA.
    I have tested it and noticed that regardless of the parameters the Buy and Sell orders are not entered where the indicator is shoing the red/blue dots.
    At least on backtest the indicator is not repainting.
    I then took a look at the code and did not find where in it the indicator is called (no iCustom function).

    I am attaching a screenshot to clarify a bit.

    It would be helpful enough if you could show how to identify the dots from the EA by displaying on a replay the lines of code to do it.

    Thanks a lot

    Hi jtoscano,

    The indicator doesn't work for me in backtesting, I have integrated the logics directly into the expert.

    You can replace this :

    Code:
       int buysellsignal=0;
       for(i=1;i<=shift;i++){
          range=0;
          for(cnt=i;cnt<i+10;cnt++)range+=(i+10-cnt)*(High[cnt]-Low[cnt]);
          range/=55.0;
          high=High[iHighest(NULL,0,MODE_HIGH,period,i)];
          low=Low[iLowest(NULL,0,MODE_LOW,period,i)];
          if(Close[i]<low+(high-low)*factor/100.0 && signal!=-1){
             buysellsignal=1;
             signal=-1;
          }
          if(Close[i]>high-(high-low)*factor/100.0 && signal!=1){
             buysellsignal=2;
             signal=1;
          }
       }

       bool buy=false;
       bool sell=false;

       if(buysellsignal==1){if(reversesignals)sell=true;else buy=true;}
       if(buysellsignal==2){if(reversesignals)buy=true;else sell=true;}
    By :

    Code:
       double blue=iCustom(NULL,0,"Buy_Sell",0,shift);
       double red=iCustom(NULL,0,"Buy_Sell",1,shift);

       bool buy=false;
       bool sell=false;

       if(blue>0 && blue!=EMPTY_VALUE){if(reversesignals)sell=true;else buy=true;}
       if(red>0 && red!=EMPTY_VALUE){if(reversesignals)buy=true;else sell=true;}
