    Hi Funyoo,
I just registered to this forum. Many thanks for your topics, and expalnation.

I'm actually using Your lucky EUR/GBP v2b, on a 5 min timeframe. But I have seen the you have posted many different version of this ea, with many different settings. Would you be so kind to let me know, in your opinion, which would be the best for me, considering that I'm actually using Liteforex?

Is the 5 min timeframe right for this ea, or are there better settings?

Many thanks for your help, I'm not so good in optimization, so I need help from competent people like you.

    Many Thanks
    Lorenzo
P.s. (sorry for my bad english)

I have been following Your Lucky on the TSD thread, and testing the version v2b in demo mode for 3 months. I use MBT since they are an ECN and have the lowest spreads during the Asian hours.. typically only 1-2 pips. Information on that thread indicates that rdb has improved the EA, and now offers the latest version for an unspecified 'donation'. He does not offer the source, so it is of no use to me. I will not trade unless I know what I am trading. Also there are some problems using even v2b with MBT. That version sometimes does not close at the stoploss.. no one knows why because there is no public source. Also, it does not treat Fridays correctly for brokers west of London, so sometimes a trade will be carried over the weekend.

I just wanted to say that you should not despair. This EA does OK if you have the right broker. Version 2b uses the Damiani_Volt filter as well as the Fractal Envelopes. It still has drawdown problems that seem to be related to the way that the stoploss is calculated. It works only on the M5 EURGBP. Other TF's seem to be a problem. It may be due to the fact that the fractal periods are M15 and H1. I suspect that the Damiani Volt period is also H1, or he may be using two periods here also. So operation at H1 would use fractals at M15. Not surprising that that gives bad results.

Also, the fractal envelope is found in the EA by counting from 1. Since Fractals require the completion of two bars after the fractal, that means that it repaints. Maybe OK for M15, but how about H1?

Also want to compliment Funyoo on your honesty and willingness to share. Your coding capability is truly remarkable! I don't know if this thread is still active, but you might try changing the fractal periods to get the EA to work on longer TF's.

I also want to warn some of the members that may not fully understand the MT4 terminal. Strategy Tester results can be very deceiving. The spread is fixed at whatever spread your broker had when you start the test. The ticks are invented by MT4 to match OHLV at 1 minute. They are not what you will see in demo or live. Forward demo tests are better, but they are still not the best. Your order will always be filled, you will see no offquotes or requotes. Your stops and TP's will always be honored. In live operation that is not always the case, but with an ECN you have a chance.

    Thanks again to Funyoo.

Red face Stop out; Lucky any version or Thunder

The Lucky or Thunder EA can stop out if you get 5 simultaneous trades that go negative. How do you adjust EA settings to avoid 5 similar trades at once that go negative? Is there a time set to space out the trades over time intervals?

    Unhappy Stop Time Code needed?

YourLucky, MyLucky, or Thunder needs some stop time code added to adjust the number of minutes between trades. MaxOrder feature needs a stop time feature added. This will lower the risk of similar orders being executed at the same time that go negative. In some cases, five similar orders will be executed by the EA's that go negative then result in a total loss in account funds.

    Angry what the hell...?

    *wow* nice ea...

I don't know if it is a problem with the build 224 of metatrader, but this is a really disaster

just realized what happens and stopped the EA immediatly. I used the v2 of the your lucky and never changed the settings since it works for the first time.

btw.: this was my live account
