Default EA gives me an alarm

    Hello Funyoo,

following alarm text comes more then one times in a minute in the mt4 alarm folder:

    2008.12.23 09:17:27 Cannot open file 'C:\Programme\ODL MetaTrader 4\experts\indicators\SlopeDirection_MTF.ex4' on the EURUSD,M15

If you have time and not in the Christmas holliday, can you have a look?

    Thanks for your effort

    Hi Patona,

You have to place the attached file in the indicators folder.

Hi OnTheRoad or any body else that could help me? I have spent about 8 hrs reading and trying to get this indicator "Sentiment_Cpair_v2" to plot to no avail. All I see in the indicator window is the label for the currencies but no lines are plotted. I am trading single currencies so I like to use this indicator over the "Sentiment_all_v2" ?

    The "Sentiment_all_v2" plot's just fine so I can't figure out why the "Sentiment_Cpair_v2" doesen't.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
first of all which type of your broker pairs names are :"EURUSD" , "EURUSDm" , "EURUSD." , "EURUSD_" ....? if they differ from basic names, then in Sentiment_All_V2 , Sentiment_Cpair_V2 , rename the 28 pairs names as your broker.

did you do all instructions of POST1 of thread?
(first manually open all available charts of USD EUR JPY GBP CAD AUD CHF NZD,
then manually switch all 9 TF of each chart)

after of all these , attach the , Sentiment_Cpair_V2 to your chart.

My Market Watch shows the symbols as "EURUSD".

Yes I did. Do I have to do this every time my demo account expires?

No lines are showing up. I am baffled. I downloaded my platform from the MetaQuotes site. Should I download a different one from a Broker like Alpari. If I go with Alpari is the Russian one better than a US one?
But most importantly, am I on the right track thinking that the Sentiment_Cpair_V2 is more suitable for single currency trading compared to the Sentiment_all_v2_sry2 ?

    Thanks again

    hi,

see the journal and expert tabs in the bottom of your MT4 , and see if the error message is there or not?

Sentiment_Cpair_V2 internally calls the Sentiment_all_v2 thus these 2 indi must lie in the indicators folder of your MT4,

ALPARI ru has more Pairs than ALPARI uk, thus ru demo is good for SA,

finally attach a pic of your MT4 chart that has SA, and show the journal and expert tabs too,

Sentiment_all_v2_sry2: is faster and Sentiment_all_v2_sry2_mdfy1 is multi Timeframe indi.

    thx

    Hi OTR,

    No errors any more,
it seems that we need the original "Sentiment_all_v2" in the indicators folder and not only the "Sentiment_all_v2_sry2" as I was doing.
Is the red EUR line showing the way it should? It seems to stay very flat where as on some of your pictures on other threads it follows the EURUSD line to a certain extent.

Thanks for your help, it is appreciated.

    Funyoo,

Stupid question. How do I implement one of these filters into this EA? The best filter looks like "Average Directional Movement". How do I make sure the EA uses this one?

Regards and thanks for the awesome work in this forum!
