    Default Bad backtest years 2006-2007

    Hi funyoo and all,

I am new in this thread, thank funyoo share this ea. Backtest I have done from 2008 until today, and correct this, inevitably some poor operation from time to time, provided that the end result is positive, but if I make the backtest since 2006 or 2007, I get very poor results.

I wonder if the EA has some limitations, or just optimized for 2008, or perhaps just happens to me.

    Sorry for my bad English.

    Jumper,

I did a backtest with some modifications. See attached for results. Sorry I do not have the chart image.

    Good luck

    Greetings everyone,

I will agree that this EA backtest's are great. But, the real performance test is in forward testing and live accounts.

Are there any members that can share there forward or live account results.

    Goingforward,

your results are fine, but what could be optimized for the period 2006 until today? I only get bad results.

    Super6,

I've tested one weeks in live in a demo account. the results are as good as in the backtest 2008 onwards, but I do not entirely trust to not get it to function from 2006 onwards.

    Thanks to all

Hello, I "make" - modified this Ea, and I never used on Demo or Live, I know one day Will blow up an account. Who want lose money? Yes, nobody This is a typical "Get rich or Die" style Ea! Who wanna try to get rich, I wish good luck for he, but no surprise when "die"

    Hi Jumper,

I for one don't place much trust in backtesting. I do it just to see if the darn thing will open/close trades as written. Other than that, I put them on a demo account and do forward testing. I am going to do that with this EA and get back to you all in a few days. It would be nice if others can do the same so that we have a concerted effort and results.

    Regards,

    GF

I've had this EA attached to a demo and a live account for several weeks now, with no results.

But, backtests of the EA are great! Which just adds to the frustration.

No error messages. My other EA's run fine. It's just this RSI EA that has no trades.

It is probably due to the 5-digit pricing from your broker. Ask Funyoo to modify the code to work with 4 and 5.

    Hi Jumper,

Are you using a 4 or 5 digit broker with your one week forward test?

    Hi Goingforward,

I noticed your strategy test was on a 4 digit broker, actually all strategy tests posted on this RSI thread are from a 4 digit broker.

I use a 5 digit broker, I have multiplied the appropriate settings by 10 for the difference. But, no trades at all, not even an error message.
I have backtested and forward tested 7 other EA's from this site with good results on five digits. Just not RSI EA.

    Hi Funyoo,

Could there be a code issue with this EA not working with 5 digits?
