Thread: Slope Direction Line EA

Hi all,
I'm learning this business and are somewhat of a newbee.
If someone could explain this to me I would be grateful.

I'm using Slope Direction Line indicator.
The following code line tells me if the trend is up or down:

double buyValue = iCustom(Symbol(), 0, "Slope Direction Line", period, method, price, 0, i);

If there is a single bar in the e.g down trend that goes up, I'll see this in the buyValue (i'm just checking this once pr bar, at start).

Buy value is reported to be uptrend, but the slope line is still drawn as a downtrend. I would like to check for signals where the slope line changes color (direction). The slope line does not change color because of a single oposit bar in the middle of a trend.

How do I get the signal when the trend line changes color?

I have been trading this system manually on a 1m AUDUSD chart. If you add a 320 period Slope Direction Line and use it as a filter it is highly profitable. I wonder if anyone could code this into the EA?
