Some EAs are more backtest/forward test coherent then the other. That's the next thing I try to find out.
Why some EAs back test differently from forward still puzzles me. There are some good reasons, but more mystery. Perhaps the way they are coded matters a lot.
I can't really tell as I just started learning MQL.

All I can do is test objectively. So that means if EA is optimized for certain pair, broker, time frame, it should be tested on those.
Let's stick to the routine

I used default settings, register to the forum so you can download them. The original EA was optimized for EURUSD H4.

One more thing - can you back test this EA - Visual on the same period, exact same broker you forward tested it to see what's the difference. It might shed some light.

Russians rated it 10 on Mq4. Usually they don't fool around, could be something about this code.
it back tests well on H1 EURO,
