Thread: Forward test Ea's on demo accounts

Default Forward test Ea's on demo accounts

    Hi,
I would be interested in setting up forward test demo accounts on the pick of the ea's on this forum. Something similar to the 4xproject website. I was wondering if anyone thinks this is a good idea? Also would someone be willing to put up the best ea's and optimised settings? I would then maybe use www.fxbook so everyone can see the results.
Anybody think this is worth the effort?

    Thanks

I would definitely be interested. I have been jumping from one EA to another watching them slowly win, then lose, then win, and watch my demo accounts go either sideways or down, or simply not trade at all. All the EA's have potential with the proper settings. But, at the rate I am going, I won't find anything for my live account until 2010 or later, with all the confusion.

definitely worth. There is so much effort to test an EA such that not everybody can test all of them. One possibility would be a shared myfxbook master account where any forum user could post an EA's results (to a specific sub account then)

Definitely a good idea, forward tests are the only real way to test any EA, I've been getting some good results with a few EA's on a live account, would be good to have more feedback from other members and any good settings there using.

That would be good. That way we could test more configurations of ea's. I just won server on ebay. A HP with 4 x 3ghz cpu's and 4 gig ram for $170. Should take me couple of weeks to get it and set it up.

When we set up a fxbook master account make sure a set file is posted with each ea. I hate threads where people constantly have to ask for the settings.
