    hi funyou,

    the system trades well set to as follows

    short time frames breakouts or scalping on an inclines or downclines

    set 1-15-30 mins eur-usd

    very smart bot with lots of parameters to play with for preference.

    in respect of the following "Money Management" below

    extern bool RiskManagement=false; //money management
    extern double RiskPercent=10; //risk in percentage
    //extern bool Martingale=false; //martingale
    //extern double Multiplier=1.5; //multiplier
    //extern double MinProfit=0; //minimum profit to apply the martingale
    //extern bool UseBasketOptions=false; //use basket loss/profit
    //extern int BasketProfit=1000; // if equity reaches this level, close trades
    //extern int BasketLoss=9999; // if equity reaches this negative level, close trades

    could you breifly explain the settings we would input into the EA if for example.......

    went long when the BOTs parameters were all met "triggered a sell"

    and we wanted to set the take proffit and trailing stop within the settings
    could you outline the settings for instance if we wanted to take 30 pips and retain 50% against the loss so in thoery if the price falls from 30 pips to 15 the bot will sell and collect proffit at 15 pips.
    On another note does the Bot limit itself to the amount of trades it will fill in a day or is this via the parameter settinmgs that trigger the bot to fill !!.

    ile keep the post updated with results as and when they come in.

    thank you for your help

    Jamie

    Hi jamiestevens,

    I don't understand your question.

    Note that the basketloss and the basketprofit are in "dollars", not in pips.

    hi Funyou,

    I use the This the GMACD Signals indicator made by Muhammad Hamizi Jaminan in the trading chart with jo get combined with GMACD.
    With the settings set to 1-15-30 in the GMACD Signals indicator & the settings set to 1-15-30 TF 100-100-75 with the EA, I find that the GMACD Signals indicator informs "A GOOD TIME TO SELL" well before the "SELL" signal in the EA-Jo Get & with this in mind my tests have proved that the GMACD Signals indicator tend to not corrolate in time with the EA-Jo get.
    I noticed in this thread that you have modified the EA to combine all the 3 running together with a template to download & the EA. Does this modification combine all 3 indicators running in the same paramaters together thus given the sell-buy signals at the same point in time.
    I have tried to download the template & the EA but cannot get the chart to load up as seen in this thread on page 2 as I can recall. Could you kindly post the links again and brief explanation were to save to and how to open.
    Your program works well on 100-100-75 and I wouldn't reccomend going down to "62" however if you like risk then this would be down to the individuals preferences in my opinion less is better 2 good fills a day will bring good proffit keep trying to get filled will loose you money !!.

    Thanks again funyou

    That's correct. Personally, the logics in the EA are too heavy. When I try it, the VPS is crashing due to a lack of memory.

    The tpl file has to be put in the templates folder and the mq4 file in the experts folder.

    thanks funyou,

    I was downloading to experts--->>templates have sorted it out now p.files--fx trader...>> templates even the most simplistic operations get us confused . I will keep you informed in my progress and how it trades on different currency pairs with different settings as the strength in trend push or pull varys alot between pairs & time frames were trends are strong.

    hi funyou,

    In the parameters in the codeing were would we locate the code to make changes to stop the program for shutting down the trade !!!! even when the stops have not been hit. I have found that it requires alot of drawawn 150 points at times but creeps back up and would hit the proffit range.

    have set loss to 200 and gain to 100 this may seem a risky trade but the trends work well and out way the potential risk. The problem I have is that when the setting have been set to run live trading the bot auto fills straight after it has reached its profit target this is a problem because the trend is loseing its momentum and thus we end up falling on the wrong side of the trade. So is thier a time frame we can alter in the codeing !.

    The main point I need to address is when a trade is on and the price drops, with a stop in place I would expect to play the trade out on the risk of 200 loss but the bot cuts of the trade when a small drop is indicated by the bot. I ned to make changes to the codeing could you point me in the right direction, is the changes in the money management codeing!.
    thanks jay

    Hi jamiestevens,

    The concerned lines for close conditions are located at line 171 :

    Code:
    if((SV>0)||(UseTrendAlexcud==false||(UseTrendAlexcud&&a1==3))
    //||(UseHiddenSL&&(OrderOpenPrice()-Bid)/Point>=HiddenSL)||(UseHiddenTP&&(Ask-OrderOpenPrice())/Point>=HiddenTP)
    ){if(ReverseTheSystem)CS=1;else CB=1;}
    if((BV>0)||(UseTrendAlexcud==false||(UseTrendAlexcud&&a1==4))
    //||(UseHiddenSL&&(Ask-OrderOpenPrice())/Point>=HiddenSL)||(UseHiddenTP&&(OrderOpenPrice()-Bid)/Point>=HiddenTP)
    ){if(ReverseTheSystem)CB=1;else CS=1;}

    hi funyou,

    this is the changes i have made

    extern string separator3="---------------- Order Management";
    extern int StopLoss=230; //stop loss
    extern int TakeProfit=150; //take profit
    extern int TrailingStop=0; //trailing stop
    extern int TrailingStep=1; //margin allowe to the price before to enable the ts
    extern int BreakEven=0; //breakeven
    extern bool AddPositions=false; //positions cumulated
    extern int MaxOrders=2; //maximum number of orders

    I am trying to get the bot to trade only twice from inputting the EA into the chart, when the bot trades twice it will stop any trades. I have changed the parameter from 100 to only 2 but after tests it has continued trading when the 100-100-75 levels are equal,
    could you write the changes and post them on here funyou.

    Thank you

    Jay

    Hi jamiestevens,

    I don't know how to do this.

    I know only how to limit the number of opened orders.

    You need maybe a target profit instead.

    hello Funyou,

    I have made some alterations in the parameters of the code take profit stops ect lots.
    I have been running the EA in the back tests but have problems with the final product data to view. system reads as follows in "results"
    2009.02.12 18:42:20 Trend Alexcud +JoGet+ EA: loaded successfully
    2009.02.12 18:44:53 TestGenerator: no history data 'EURUSD60'
    2009.02.12 18:46:10 TestGenerator: unmatched data error (volume limit 1176 at 2009.01.26 01:00 exceeded)
    2009.02.12 18:46:10 TestGenerator: unmatched data error (high value 1.3243 at 2009.01.27 07:00 is not reached from the least timeframe, high price 1.3243 mismatches)
    2009.02.12 19:00:04 Trend Alexcud +JoGet+ EA inputs: TF1=1; TF2=5; TF3=15; TF1MinSignalResult=100; TF2MinSignalResult=100; TF3MinSignalResult=100; AtLeast2SignalResultOverValue=100; TheThirdValueMustBeAtLeast=75; TF1MinWaitResult=50; TF2MinWaitResult=50; TF3MinWaitResult=50; maTrendPeriodv_1=5; maTrendPeriodv_2=8; maTrendPeriodv_3=13; maTrendPeriodv_4=21; maTrendPeriodv_5=34; MA1Period=4; MA1Shift=0; MA1Method=0; MA1PriceType=0; MA2Period=4; MA2Shift=0; MA2Method=0; MA2PriceType=1; MA3Period=20; MA3Shift=0; MA3Method=0; MA3Pr

    the above data repeats itself on the results tab

    in the backtesting module do we have to wait for all the information "start date - stop date" to compile before we can read the outputted data/results or should this information be available when we are backtesting viewing in visual mode.

    Hope you can help as I trying to find the best parameters for this EA in tests as so I can mover forward in real account. Maybie I am missing something that requires my input to run the backtesting correctly, however it runs and gives a visual with all the settings set correctly but does not give an report.

    Look forward to your help Funyou

    p.s It is a very smart program well done
