2009.02.12 18:42:20 Trend Alexcud +JoGet+ EA: loaded successfully
    2009.02.12 18:44:53 TestGenerator: no history data 'EURUSD60'
2009.02.12 18:46:10 TestGenerator: unmatched data error (volume limit 1176 at 2009.01.26 01:00 exceeded)
2009.02.12 18:46:10 TestGenerator: unmatched data error (high value 1.3243 at 2009.01.27 07:00 is not reached from the least timeframe, high price 1.3243 mismatches)
    2009.02.12 19:00:04 Trend Alexcud +JoGet+ EA inputs: TF1=1; TF2=5; TF3=15; TF1MinSignalResult=100; TF2MinSignalResult=100; TF3MinSignalResult=100; AtLeast2SignalResultOverValue=100; TheThirdValueMustBeAtLeast=75; TF1MinWaitResult=50; TF2MinWaitResult=50; TF3MinWaitResult=50; maTrendPeriodv_1=5; maTrendPeriodv_2=8; maTrendPeriodv_3=13; maTrendPeriodv_4=21; maTrendPeriodv_5=34; MA1Period=4; MA1Shift=0; MA1Method=0; MA1PriceType=0; MA2Period=4; MA2Shift=0; MA2Method=0; MA2PriceType=1; MA3Period=20; MA3Shift=0; MA3Method=0; MA3Pr

the above data repeats itself on the results tab

in the backtesting module do we have to wait for all the information "start date - stop date" to compile before we can read the outputted data/results or should this information be available when we are backtesting viewing in visual mode.

Hope you can help as I trying to find the best parameters for this EA in tests as so I can mover forward in real account. Maybie I am missing something that requires my input to run the backtesting correctly, however it runs and gives a visual with all the settings set correctly but does not give an report.

Look forward to your help Funyou

p.s It is a very smart program well done
    Hi trendfriend and welcome,

Yes that's something that happens sometimes when the code becomes too complex, without any good reason.

We can load again the tick data, but most of the time there is still the same error.

In that case, you have not other choice than trying the code on several demo accounts, with different settings.

    ok thanks for that,

could you ansaw a question regarding the 1-2-3 lots approach part sale for me which was requested from J_l in this thread.

does this setting run in an loop first lot 1.0 second 0.5 3rd 0.2 for example on the assumption that the TS was hit and the second gets triggered and subsequently the 3rd is triggered after which time the trend has exhausted itself and hopefully we would have got the settings right.
So the next time the parameters are met and the bot runs again for instance in the afternoon lets say, does the program repaet itself from the beginning i.e 1.0 lots and so on or does it fill a bid with the last lots amount which would be 0.2 !
I am currently useing a large take profit and a large stop loss with a TS of 150 as to stop the bot for auto filling in a trend as this can be causeing losses which I have found via my own testing.
So in a nutshell I look for the bot to trigger once only and run it all the way untill the trend gives up the ghost. but you will always loose 150 points at some point. , when the trend gives up
However with the 1-2-3 approach this could work well !! if the loop is present

    thanks

Yes for this, it will be better if you open 3 different orders with different lot size. What I have done in the J_l version doesn't work if I remember well.

    Hi trendfriend,

If the 3 blue/red values on Alexcud are over these numbers, then we close the trades.

    Thank you for that,

Would it be possible to add a "wav file" to the code, for when the parameters are met e.g 100-100-62.5 jo-get sell or buy we can get a tone other then the one that pops up should we wish to use manual accept trade.

So if the 100-100-62.5 met it will trigger a wav file of our choice.
I have tried playing with the code but cannot get the a wav file to trigger.

    Can you help

    Default Hello^^

The fiddled parameter is abundant though it is EA here. A quite moderate numerical value is not found. May I have the best set file that optimize is done?

Default Coverting GMACD Indicator into Trend EA

    Greetings Funyoo,

After quite a search on the net, I'm relieved to have eventually found someone using the GMACD indicator in an EA Great work you are doing here!

My question (and the main reason I was on this quest) is; Is it possible to convert JUST the indicator into an automated EA?

    For instance:

If M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4 and D1 turns GREEN, then BUY at market (All TF's must be green to BUY).When both M1 & M5 turns red, sell at market to close trade.
If M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4 and D1 turns RED, then SELL at market (All TF's must be red to SELL). When both M1 & M5 turns green, buy at market to close trade.

Basic inputs the user can change:

    • TP
    • SL
    • Lot Size
    • Trailing Stop

At this stage stage, I don't see the need for more inputs.

The EA should be able to run with FX, Stocks, Indexes, Gold etc., which a lot of MT4 brokers offer.

Do you think this is possible?

    Kind Regards,

    Jake

PS: My apologies for not qualifying any conditions you require before looking at writing an EA. The times I've managed to catch this indicator on a symbol showing the required conditions are few, but the outcomes were good. It's difficult monitoring it across a range of symbols because of time constraints. If it's a problem, I will understand.

Can anybody give me more info about this indicator(trend_alexcud) with a link or a thread?

How 'bout an explanation of the initials AC between the Moving Average and Results in the indicator window?

    regards
