Reguarding the GU I am up 102 pips on that one.I took the trade when it was at 1.5290.I am also trying to trade the patterns manually. Not sure if using daily charts is a good way to go, but I started a small demo account with $500.00 on IBFX using .01 lots.So far on the small $500.00 account I am up 400 pips.I am using the zup and wrr indicators on the pairs on a daily chart. If it is a bearish chart I am setting the stop loss at the top range and setting the stop loss at the low range for a bullish pattern.I am also setting a 35 pip ts.I am letting the trades go until either stopped out or if the pattern changes from bearish to bullish, etc.I am wondering if this is a correct approach?
Have a question for seasoned traders who might also be trading the patterns on a live account.I keep hearing stories that trading a demo account vs a live account is as different as night and day with a lot of requotes. etc. that happen on live accounts that don't happen on demo accounts? I have been using IBFX for the most part for the demo accounts, and they seem to do a good job so far.
Version v104 auto system using the 1hr tf is also taking trades now.I have 7 trades going.
Again I want to thank everyone for this thread, and also a big thanks to Big for introducing me to this type of trading.I like this type of trading.
Sorry for the long post, but wanted to get some opinions from the others here.
    Have a great day!

Thanks for your input lucky, I am still in limbo as to which broker to use to run the EAs that I am working on.

no prob bigp, I got my dad and sis in on this forex thing about 2 months ago and put them at ibfx, my dad put in 30k around end of feb and my sis put in about 3k and I set them up on 2 different ea's and as of right now his balance is a tad over 60k and hers is over 6k and they've never had requotes or chart manipulation. if i would have thought they were shady or bad I would not have put family members there

i feel the reason many people complain is they lose a trade and point the finger at everyone/everything else and they fail to look hard at themselves and the methods they are using

    just my .02

I managed to squeeze a quickish 10 pips from the gartley on the GBPUSD - I got out then - the market seems uncertain although the MacdBB was still green..

The MacdBB is still new to me - I will have to learn to trust it more. Could have had another 14 or so pips..

Couldn't agree with you more. I used to do the same thing. Until I took my ego out and started assuming responsibility for my failures I continued to lose money.

what do ya'll think of this daily setup on gu? daily stochs are way over bought, macdbb red, gartley saying $$$$, 4 hr looks like a pullback, and it just broke through the south end of the pivot I'm thinking gonna pull the trigger on this one

Hello all and thank you Lucky for the input, it helps a lot.I am not sure if a 35 pip ts might be too tight for the daily? I like the daily chart since it takes less baby sitting? I might just put in a tp and sl and not a tsl?
Thanks again anf have a nice day!

vff- I would say 35 ts is too tight for daily just b cuz the right daily setup can bring in hundreds of pips, and it takes a while for the daily to set up of course if you want quick pips and then get out that'd def work. I've attached 2 trade managing ea's, you may have heard of them, i've used both but prefer the manage take profit more so because it will scale out lots for you and move the stop loss accordingly, as well as it has a hidden max loss as well , however if you don't want to scale out but just want it to set a breakeven then trail the swiss army would prob be preferred,

Ya'll know what would be very sweet is to have all features/settings of the ManageTpv2-4 coded into the next version of the gartley ea..ah hem..Fuuuunyoooooo?! I really don't like static take profits and stop losses

    Pip on!
