vienna we're all in the beginning stages of testing this, you need to test yourself this, however i am testing smaller time frames more for scalping and higher time frames for bigger pips personally

    Hi viennatrader and welcome!

I have no "best settings" for the different timeframes and different currencies.

50pips and bigpipn can give some advices, but everybody can participate to this task. As you see there is an infinite of possibilities.

At the end we should have different settings depending on the pair, the period and the broker for various kind of trading.

    Hi przem81621,

That's right. You can trade Gartley alone or BB Macd alone, or even Momo Counts alone.

It is already in the expert in the zip package.

Note that I'm not sure about this news filter (at least concerning the MinsAfterNews option), it is also inspired on the code available on this page :

I suppose that we should try this part of the mq4 file in a simple EA to be sure that it works.

    Default This is Great

    Hi all,
I am very new here. I've spent the last couple of hours reading through this thread and I kept wondering why I didn't find this forum before crashing all my fx accounts.
I started and crashed four accounts before deciding to 'go slow'. This EA bring me hope once again. I am going to spend the next month testing it on my favourite pairs EJ and EU. I'll be reporting the results here as I go.

One question pls. in the latest EA version, there is the High Risk, Medium and Low Risk options, am I supposed to set all as 'true' or only one option?

Thank you BigP, Funyoo and others for offering such great services free.

    Hi yemupz and welcome,

According to 50pips, under 30Min you have to choose Medium Risk (mid band cross). All the rest you can use High Risk or Medium or Low depending on your trading style.

According to my tests, the Low Risk (diamonds) is the most attractive option.

Of course I suggest you to test different settings to have a better idea.

The time frame for this should the same as we've been using for the other Gartley EA's... 1H seems to work the best.

Funyoo, thank you buddy! I can only imagine the amount of time you put into this. Thank you for all your hard work.

Yemupz... as far as the risk... we all have to test to find the best settings. This will take some time as most of us will be forward testing.

YO Bigpipn.... it's here!!! Let's make some money.

funyoo attaching screen shot of backtest, it won't send any trades and there are no errors in the journal, should have been a trade sent in this backtest, mainly doing this to see if there are any bugs and such.

man if this thing will start firing this will be our license to print money

Russ-Trader you posted a 30min gbpusd chart with the gartley..You can waite for the mid-band cross but because it is 30min you can trade the 1st green dot..That puts u right at the bottom of the wave.

Lucky30..your daily is the same..you can trade the 1st red dot..with stop above that candle..

Funyoo you are one great coder..Many thanks for this latest version. If its not too hard can you please add in a timer to trade..like trade between these 2 times only..as i dont know how a set and forget strategy will work outside normal trading hours..that way if u want to trade a yen pair your times to trade might be different than say a us pair..

I will test this out later tonight as i have to go to college now and hopefully can give all you the best way to use this..but i think it pretty much talks for itself..
