Another thing that Vienna highlights is using more of the minor pairs... All the fibs/elliot stuff (of which Gartley is a part) work best when there is "natural" market movement, the psychology of the masses, etc. Often, we find that better in the minor pairs...

Vienna, if you could, can you tell us if you will change your trend in the middle of the week? or do you always set it on Sunday, and keep it the whole week... (there are a couple of times in your statement where the trend was changed mid-week, but only a couple...)...

Also...can you explain how you determine weekly trend?

We ask because you are clearly successful with the "manual" application of the EA. If we can define the why and how, perhaps it could be incorporated into an EA....

    THANKS for your contribution here....

    Default Hallo Mr.mrkam

    Hallo mr.mrkam,
i am so sorry my english is very bad.
i am a german spaeker. i hope google help me for understand me:
I do not, of course, the trend for weeks in advance!
it opens with the start of the market ea!
if the ea opens the wrong direction as there are losses
Our chance is that the ea the opening at least 51% correctly.
then the more money on account.
    forex is mathematics!
the conceptual gartley of the formation based on Fibonacci and many banks worldwide after formation and Trade Fibonacci!
we have the same opportunities as the banks!
I turn off the forex market the opening ea YOU!
I check on monday evening, the trend I'm starting with the D1 then W1 chart chart chart H4 then - if all of the trend chart is the same I remain in the market!
also on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, I check it!
should be in H1 chart a course to run against my position but in the D1 chart is the trend for my position I stay in the market.
I see but at night, the candle in D1 chart has closing below the opening price of day before I go from the market and take the win for the weekly.i trade will no longer be in this weekly.i wait to resist breakage of the sunday.the trends could be and I would lose all the gains.
i hope i can help and you understand this.
    best regards

Hi VT! THANK YOU very much for your information. And you do MUCH better at English than I would at German!! (I am sure of that!)

And yes, your description helps very much. It makes very good, sound, trading sense. Trade within the higher time frame trends. If trading 1 hr, then trade with the 4hr/daily/weekly trend. If all those line up, AND we get a pattern, we enter. And while this is no assurance of a win, it does put us in the higher probability category.

Another benefit if trading the Gartley like this is that it gives us higher probability of more profitable trades. If we are in a longer term buy trend, and we get a bearish Gartley, then the "probability" is that it is a correction to the major trend, and hence, will be short-lived. If we get a bullish pattern, then we are re-joining the major trend AFTER a correction, and we have a higher probability of riding the major trend to greater profits.

Thank you for bringing this approach to our group here. I think you have helped a lot of us!
