Weeee! An integrated version of my GArtley algo and Zup w/ MTF alerts and Pallada '09 on the daily! Semi-automation should be complete by the weekend.

    Hi BigPin

Your indicator uses zigzag. Do you understand how this indicator works?
Anything that uses zizag only works on past data the RT testing will show different results due to the last pivotal point moving.
    Nice try though!

Default Problems with your set up

    Hi prz

Please don't take this the wrong way but your pic might look pretty, however what you have is absolute rubbish lol. For someone to coding this would be a complete waste of their time. I personally am not cruel enough to ask someone to waste their time knowing this system as you have it won't work LIVE.
LEt me point out the problems:
    1) Cycleindetifier alone tell you when to trade up or down. Just look at each vertical red and green bar. This is a lagging indicator hence a NO GO ZONE!
    2) In the pic the zigxag indicator has been modified and used and again exactly similar in operation to the cycleidentifier, a NO GO ZONE!

For those two reasons alone its a waste of time but your divergence indicator could be something worthwhile pursueing if used correctly.

    Cheers

    sorry , in my dictionary i can't find what's mean lagging .

I don't like zigzag, but picture is so pretty

Divergence is most powerfull, what do you mean "if used correctly' ?

With all due respect, I have been tearing it up w/ this algo along w/ my momo counts. I have the alerts now along w/ the MTF, so, I'm very satisfied.

Automation will be tough and you could very well be right in that it is a waste of time, but it's always worth the effort because ideas like this are compounding--it could enable the programmer to come up with an even better idea. The divergence gives the signal and the bat/gartley/butterfly can give duration of the signal. They complement each other well.

I do appreciate all criticism, I am, by no means, a pro at MT4 coding. I never intended to waste anyone's time--no ill will here.

    Hi przem,

    1. lag means, the indicator changed, for example his level.
    It's very treacherous!!
    2. Pretty picture are illusions, forex trading is merciless, please forget pretty picture.
    3. Divergence indicator are given plenty of times wrong signals. I have EA with OsMA_Divergence: 30% of the signals are wrong, if you have SL with 40 or 60 pips, your profit regarding positiv signals GO MISSING

Default Anyone here able to do some programming ?

If so I can try and come up with a set of rules that help identify some of the cycle rotations (i.e signal reversal). Some of you on the forum can learn and perhaps improve with your ideas on this method.
All I need is a programmer willing to do some programming plus this will show some of the people on the forum how to develope a leading indicator to find possible trades.
The idea here is to try and develope an indicator which produces arrows in the direction of price movement with some degree of accuracy.

Anyone willing to help develope this? I do welcome all comment while being developed.

Drop me a line if you're interested.

    Cheers
