    Hi bigpipn,

    Thanks for the explanation,

    Here is a first EA.

    Rules :

Enter long when a long gartley signal appears,
Enter short when a short gartley signal appears.

I have edited the indicator, it took me a while.

I have still to study momo counts to add this filter.

Do you use also a confirmation with the size of the rectangle compared to the distance A-D (minimum 1/3 of this distance, something like that) ?

BP, ya i noticed the same thing. It's pretty funny how fx360 failed to pickup on the gartley? It was HUGE.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for that gartley indi, it kicks so much a-s. I'm looking to incorporate it into my trading system with a few tweaks.

I've actually combined the gartley indi with the mtf 1-2-3 indi and it has greatly helped my ability to analyze what's happening on my main trading pairs.

Here's a lil screenie of my trade blog and such:

I do a weekly outlook on Sunday looking at GU & EU. Using the indi and mtf 1-2-3 I was able to accurately predict the bounce of 1.4500 (psych # of course).

I'll be doing some reading on momo counts as I'm very interested in this.

I suspect there's some power in utilizing gartley for signals, momo for confirmation and fibos for the targeting.... I think. Perhaps combining all three would create a powerful EA.

It merits testing but I'm waiting for funyoo to see if he gets the momo deal figured out. Looks like he's posted a version of the pattern ea so I'll throw it up on my vps with my charts and see what happens.

    Cheers!

Default Funyoo is the HOLY GRAIL!

    Hello members,

thanks so much funyoo that you have build this EA. You are the best one.

A little question: i have attached the EA to three currencypairs. Do i have to set the magic number different for each pair? For example E/U 2009, U/CHF 2008 and U/CAD 2007?
Is this correct or will the EA handle it alone?

    Kind Regards

    Hi crissfx,

You only need to set the magic number if you use the EA on several charts of a same pair.

    Hi verbtheory,

That's what I think too. According to my manual trading experience with different systems, the fibos are the best choice for the targets.

    Default Huge Bearish Pattern!

Hi, looking and testing all day the new EA...

This is the greatest i ever have seen

Do i interpret this right? Pending order should be set at bottom of the red quadrangle and stoploss at the top of the quadrangle?

Bigpippin please, can you give a statement?

The triangle is the potential development of the "D" area of the Gartley. THe "D" area is of course the last leg of the gartley and (in this case) the beginning of the sell off. I usually enter on the open of the next bar. Stop is beyond the rectangle. Use good discretion though, if there is Fed speak or ECB speak, then by all mean wait for a willy to print.

Great EA funyoo! Wow, let me load it up.

Look at the big run up on Eur/GBP, it is gunning for the big psychological number. Let it retest that area and it will fall like a rock. This is a great, great, signal.

Here's a pic of the Euro bull gartley that its trading.

Funyoo, I recommend the following additions:
    1 - a parabolic SAR trailing stop
2 - the MTF 1-2-3 indi for fibo based targets, if we can base targets on psychological levels that would be best
3 - news avoidance code for X minutes before and X minutes after.

Attached is the ffcal code and mtf 1-2-3 with source.

    Loads of potential here.

If a Pattern forms on a Daily chart (ie.. USD/CHF), is this a good trade set-up or should we be using 15-30-60M charts?
