Thread: Day Break EA

    Default Day Break EA

    Hi Funyoo,

    Could you develop a EA based on this strategy?

    Enter pending orders at 23:30 GMT. (trade after 00:00)

    Entry = previous day’s high & low +/- X pip offset rounded
    TP = X pips
    SL = Other side of candle or alternativelly % of account
    Target 1 = X%, stop move to breakeven
    Target 2 = X%, stop moved to X pips
    At X pips, stop moved to X pips
    Target 3 = X%
    Positions = 3

    If possible, do not enter X minutes before and after major economic news.

    Regards,

    LV

    Hi Lordvader, I did some quick calculations using this stategey for last week and looks like a good system with well over 300 pips on offer and small draw down.
    I was wondering if you may need to add to EA cancel current pending orders x time before new orders are placed?

    Hi blackdog,

    Well, that could be an option, it depends on our friend Funyoo...

    Hi LV,

    Here is a first version with one position (for each side, buy stop and sell stop).

    I'm not sure to understand what is the difference between target and TP. At the target, we only move to breakeven/x pips or we close the order ?

    Hi Funnyo!

    The idea is to move to breakeven/x pips.

    Hi Funyoo,

    That's 99%, just need these slight changes:

    -Add option to choose # of positions to enter.
    -Enable option to Hide SL and TP
    -Remove all buy stop, and sell stop orders, of previous bars to current. (they could interfere with current orders and execute "orphan" orders)
    -Condition: if price reaches buy stop order of current bar, then delete sell stop pending order; if price reaches sell stop order of current bar, then delete buy stop pending order

    Be Well,

    LV

    Hi Funyoo,

    Could you please enter these changes?
    I think one of the issues is the same as "Four Hour Buzz" - with pending orders.

    Thank you,

    LV

    Hi Lordvader,

    Here is the new version. I have not yet added the news filter and hidesl/hidetp.

    Hi Funyoo,

    Thank you very much! I'll wait for them

    Best Regards,

    P.S.: Meantime, could you possibly repair the Random Flow EA and modify Neg Correlation EA?
