Thread: Four Hour Buzz

    Default Four Hour Buzz

    Hi funyoo,
    Could you develop a bar version of LVs daybreak EA please, I would like to attach to a four hour chart.

    4 hour breakout EA.

    Enter pending orders every bar
    Entry = previous bar high & low
    Entry pip offset = x pips
    Once an order is triggered all other pending orders are canceled.
    TP = x pips
    Sl = x pips
    TrailSL = x pips
    Move sl to BE after x pips
    Or if possible, close % of trade and move remaining to BE after x pips
    Option hide SL/TP
    Thankyou.

    Hi funyoo, thanks for the EA, I've had it running this morning and found that it's placing pending orders @ fixed step from opening price and not from previous high - low from closing bar.
    screen shot attatched.

    Funyoo, you are the man, this is working perfectly now!!
    I've had it running on a live account for the past 12 hours and has so far pulled in over 100 pips and no losing trades, I have some further ideas for this system and will keep you posted.
    Cheers.

    Hi funyoo, I've been getting some good results so far,
    obviously this system works best in a trending market, but when we are nearing a turning point in the market the EA will possibly fail, I was wondering if there would be anyway of reversing a signal when nearing these levels.
    So if the market is in an uptrend and starting to go sideways we reverse our pending buy/sell to a pending sell/sell.
    And the opposite for a down trend we reverse our pending buy/sell to a pending buy/buy.
    I was thinking of using some sort of filter such as a parabolic sar, stochastic or anything that may assist in telling us the market is possibly about to turn?
    Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi,
    Which pairs are you using for this?

    Thanks

    Hi nevic, I've found it works best on a steady trending pair such as the EUR/USD.

    Oh, I should mention that it can grab some great break outs from pairs such as GBP/USD and EUR/GBP, only thing is if it whips it can hurt your account.
    If you run it on these pairs you need to increase the pip offset.

    What size of offset, TP, SL and BE do you use ?
