Thread: Scan and report the hourly ATR of a dozen different pairs

Default Scan and report the hourly ATR of a dozen different pairs

Is it possible for an EA to scan and report the hourly ATR of a dozen different pairs?

    Thanks

Yes. It should be quite easy. Although I dont think an EA is the best option. An indicator with an hourly alert should do it.

Keep in mind that the more information you ask a program to look at the more resources you computer has to give to its tasks .

It would be nice if someone could make such an indicator and present a half dozen or a dozen of designated pairs on one screen. Perhaps listing them in order of their activity and indicating their change of the last X minutes and showing if they getting more or less active compared to the last Y minutes.

I don't know if this ATR Screen could be presented on an MT4 tab or some sort of separate screen but I think it would be useful if future EA's could directly reference this list as a possible filter for their various trades.

I think this ATR Screen might also be useful to manual traders if some sort alert system was available, as it would let them know where the current action is.

    Hi JXBlack,

Here is a simple indicator that calculates the difference between the progression on the last "periods1" bars and the one on the last "periods2" bars.

If you want an indicator on a separate chart, you should contact a professional coder, as it can take several hours to make something correct (with columns, etc...).
