Thread: 1 min simple scalper

    Default 1 min simple scalper

    Hi Funyoo,

    I a have been looking at the SMA 5 and SMA 15 on the 1 min time graph andi observed that one can scalp with very high winning ratio if the following simple rules are followed.

    Long;

    Go long when the SMA 5 crosSes above the SMA 15 at the close of a candle.It is very imprtant that the cross be complete (not just touching/grazing )so as to avoid false crossing

    Take profit is Y.(10 pips seem ideal) but it can be put in extern varible for optimisation.

    Go short when the SMA 5 croses down below the SMA 15 at the close of a candle.It is very imprtant that the cross be complete (not just touching/grazing )so as to avoid false crossing

    Also Take profit is Y.(10 pips seem ideal) but it can be put in extern varible for optimisation.

    NOW VERY IPORTANT:
    1)IF THE TAKE PROFIT VALUE IS NOT REACHEDTHE POSITON SHOULD BE CLOSED AT THE OPPOSITE SIGNAL(THAT IS AT THE CROSS OF THE TWO SMA).THERE IS NO HARD STOPLOSS.THIS IS THE STOPLOSS.

    2)IF A POSITION IS CLOSED BY TAKE PROFIT, THE SYSTEM SHOULD BE PREVENTED FROM PLACING ANOTHER TRADE UNTIL THE NEXT CROSS FOR THE OPPOSITE SIGNAL.THIS IS TO PREVENT THE SYSTEM FROM PLACING A TRADE IN THE SAME DIRECTION FROM WHICH PROFIT HAD JUST BEEN TAKEN.

    The one minute time frame is ideal becuase there are many cross overs occuring so a 10 pip take profit would amount to a lot with many trades from the many crossovers with 80 percent of them leading to profit at a fair take profit and the loss when a trade fails is minimal since it is just a 1 minute time frame

    a use hour code would also be nuce if included

    I would appreciate it if this strategy is made into an as it has very great potential

    looking forward to hearing from you.

    hi mr Funyoo, you did a greatt job with this EA but a little adjust ment would do a lot of good.I noticed it wasn't opening trade accoding to the moving averages crossover so I comented out the following codes:

    //double MA1=iMA(Symbol(),0,MAPeriod1,0,MODE_SMA,PRICE_CLOS E,i+1);
    //double MA3=iMA(Symbol(),0,MAPeriod2,0,MODE_SMA,PRICE_CLOS E,i+1);

    On doing this it started opening trade according to the moving avreges crossover(which is how I want it to be)However, whenever it took profit it immediattely opened position in that same direction in which profit was taken.this defeats the purpose of taking profit at a specific value.What I want this EA to do is:

    AFTER TAKING PROFIT, IT SHOULD NOT OPEN ANY MORE POSITION UNTILL THERE IS A CROSSOVER FOR THE OPPOSITE SGNAL.

    Attached is a copy of this EA wuth the comented part as explained above

    Iwill appreciate it if this modification is carried out.

    You should not have a space here : PRICE_CLOS E.

    Try this compiled version.

    Thank you Mr Funyoo.
    i will go try it now but please can you tell me why we include this code with the shift:

    double MA1=iMA(Symbol(),0,MAPeriod1,0,MODE_SMA,PRICE_CLOS E,i+1);
    double MA3=iMA(Symbol(),0,MAPeriod2,0,MODE_SMA,PRICE_CLOS E,i+1);

    AND

    if(MA1<MA3&&MA2>MA4)SBUY="true";if(MA1>MA3&&MA2<MA 4)SSEL="true";

    Why don't we just use these alone:

    Just a little curious
    double MA2=iMA(Symbol(),0,MAPeriod1,0,MODE_SMA,PRICE_CLOS E,i);
    double MA4=iMA(Symbol(),0,MAPeriod2,0,MODE_SMA,PRICE_CLOS E,i);

    AND

    if(MA2>MA4)SBUY="true";if(MA2<MA4)SSEL="true";

    Because we want to enter at the cross, so before we have the fast ma under the slow ma, and then the fast ma goes over the slow ma for long signal and the opposite for short ma.

    Otherwise the conditions would be enter as long as the fast ma is over/under the slow ma.

    Thank you very much for your explanation.Makes lots of sense to me now!

    Default Relativestrength for filter

    Mr Funyoo,
    please can you add a filter based on the Relative strenght index such that coditions for entry would be:

    LONG:
    Sma5>Sma15&&RSIVal>50

    short:
    Sma5<Sma15&&RSIVal<50Sma

    where RSIval=valure of relavie strenght index Xperiod (lets say 14)
    exit should be by take profit or stop loss if positon is losing at the opposite signal it (no hard stop loss),
    thank you sir
