Is it possible to make this EA keep trying until the trade context is free, or alternatively, place the AU trade 30 seconds after the UC one?

Its doing a good job so far scalping for 5 pips between the two pairs, here are the results since start of August:
    https://www.myfxbook.com/portfolio/hedge-scalper/33756
As you can see though it only manages to open both trades at the same time about half the time. The other half the time one pair will get a 'trade context busy' error because MT4 is busy opening the first trade (as they are set to open at identical times). I will then have only one position open which gives me no protection if it goes south.
Can I ask you to add something to this EA to make it try again after a trade context busy error until it has successfully opened both positions? Currently it seems to give up after one failed try.
If this works correctly I can get us some more accurate results.

    Best regards,

    Carl
    Hi carlscott1982,

If anyone does ever find the time to implent the above, there is one other tiny change that I think would be useful:
If the two trades do fail to find their basket profit percentage during their four hour candle, can all positions exit 5 mins before the end of that candle (I say 5 mins before so it isn't exiting at the same time as opening the next 2 trades and trying to process 4 things at once). I'd rather take the loss than have positions continue over into the next 4 hour block, making it harder for subsequent trades to exit in profit. (this isn't the 'closeall' setting is it?)

Sorry to keep going on about this EA, but the success rate is phenomenal and it gives 5 garunteed trades a day. I only had my first trade that wasnt resolved within 4 hours last night (technically would have been the first loss if the exit on candle close logic was implemented, and if I wasnt getting all the busy errors which have messed up my data).
    Countdown option added.

    Hi Funyoo,

Thanks for the adjustments, I really appreciate it. However, now it seems to be missing a few important things that were there before....?
There is no hedge option (is this now automatic?), no global profit options (global pips or global dollars for TP), ECN etc missing...
    possibly Im worng...?

    Best Regards,
    Carl

    Hi carlscott1982,

    Yes hedge is automatic,

    Global profit is "profit",

There is no need of ECN option.

Ah yes, I see. You've definately simplified the EA a lot. Thanks. I'll keep testing.

    Quick questions:
What does the 'closeall' function do?

And I'm just wondering why have the lotsize on pair #2 larger than #1. e.g. lot 1 = 1.0 and lot 2= 1.33?

    Hi carlscott1982,

When closeall is enabled, the EA closes all the orders on the next price update.

The lotsize was based on eurchf (it was automatically calculated in the original version). You can set it as you want.

    Thanks for the answers Funyoo...
I hate to be a pain, but I think the new version has some bugs/ errors. I need to test it a bit longer, but here's what it did to my accout over the last 24 hours of last week:
    https://www.myfxbook.com/portfolio/hedge-scalper/33756

It seems to crash when taking profit, usually exiting one trade and then crashing before exiting the next. But even with the error message up it is still able to open another trade to pair with the one that is still left open from before it crashed. I can restart it and then an hour later it will error out again (attached, zoom in). Seems very unstable.

Otherwise, it seems to be doing exactly what it is supposed to do, unlike the original version.

    Hi Funyoo,

    Thanks for v1.01.

I found out that there are much more suitable "positive" correlated pairs than "negative", so would it be possible to invert the trades to the second pair ?
(I tried to put "extern" before below code and set "order2" to "-1", but i suppose that below function was not yet fully implemented into the rest of this EA as my below change seem to have no effect.)

    extern int order1=1; // order type 1, 0=no trade, 1=buy, -1=sell
    extern int order2=-1; // order type 2, 0=no trade, 1=buy, -1=sell

To Carl: Looking at your Error.doc i think the error occurred because you added the v1.01 to both pairs, it is only needed to add v1.01 to one pair. (It does not matter which pair.)

That would be the reason, thanks cycletrader.

Another in my long line of questions about this EA (sorry):

If I wanted it to trade once at the start of each 4 hour TF candle, instead of putting in frequent trades as soon as the last trade closes as it seems to be doing now, what setting would I adjust?

    Best regards, as always,

    Carl
