Thread: Schaff Cycle Trend EA

Thanks, your suggestion worked, but I also had to add to the EA CDPeriod, which was in the STC1 indicator but not in the STC indicator. After the change I ran strategy tester, but there were 2 problems I noticed:
1) the entry and exit signal for the buy was one bar late.

a) On the attached chart, the 1st vertical aqua line is where entry should have been at cross above 25. The arrow from strategy tester on the next bar is where entry actually occurred.

b) the 2nd vertical aqua line is where exit should have been cross below 80. The arrow from strategy tester on the next bar is where exit actually occurred.

2) There is no sell entry at cross below 85, and thus no sell exit, which should have been at cross above 20.

I checked the expert parameters and the default setting is for long and short positions.

Also, attached is the modified EA.

Please advise what the problem is.

I ran strategy tester again using your revised indicator/EA and still the same problems occurred. On the attached chart, the yellow lines indicate where entry/exit should have been, and the red lines indicate where entry/exit actually occured. In both situations, the actual entry/exit was 1 bar late - which can be clearly seen in the chart. Also, the sell entry wasn't generated. Run strategy tester yourself on 4hr gbpusd chart and you will see what I'm talking about. I changed SlowMA Period to 25.

Hi funyoo ,is possible to enable all options hidden in this version of EA? this options is TimeFilter ,MA Filter ecc. ecc.
