Thumbs up Very High Potential EA.. HELP NEEDED.. SAR - ADX

Hi, I am currently seeing the potential of this SAR EA (SAR Sample_2.mq4)
If only I can incorporate with the ADX indicator since I don't know any mql programming..
The idea is to run the EA if ADX indicator (average directional movement) is higher than an input value..
For example.. This EA will run if ADX is more than 25(input value)..

Then this EA will be able to run in almost any currency in the world with the proper setting.

I backtested with 1H EUR/USD with the "Sar Sample Limit Method" setting and it works great!! It just have a drawdown when the volatility (ADX) is low..

The setting was for EUR/USD (1H):
Take profit: 10000 (Set this big! We don't care about this since the EA stop when SAR change direction)
    Lots: 1
Trailing Stop: 1000 (we also don't care about this since EA Sell as soon as SAR change direction)
SAR STEP: 0.012 (This is what we need to tune for any currency pair)
Sar Maximum: 0.2 (Set this very high in case of an economic crisis then Sar can keep going..set it 20 is fine)
    Shift: 0 (don't care)

Please help me to modify this EA then we'll both earn the profit..

    Sincerely,

    Dustin

I took the SAR Sample EA from this website:
    Parabolic SAR EA
I am giving credit to the creator..

    So,
The SAR Sample_2 EA Doubles your money in 3 months for the setting I mentioned. (for exact: 2.5 times) and if combined with ADX, I would say it could give a minimum of 3 folds of your initial money with a proper setting.. and a maximum of 15 folds in 3 months the Lot is tuned.. If possible, please add money management program (using a percentage of our free margin).
And the best thing is this EA, if modified, might work on Any Time Scale around 15 to 4 hours for the best result and you just probably don't need to tune it much..probably every 6 months.. And it could work on ANY currency pairs with the proper tuning..

    Smile wow..

    Hi Shahram,

    Did you modified that yourself??O_o
Okay I will tell you what to add after this to make sure we have Very high chance of winning so we can put more money in risk and lose little..
I'm a very good analyzer and finding patterns but I can only do a bit of programming.. I know C++, but not this one.. So I'm finding the pattern now..It's already 65% match to any pattern in EURUSD 4H..

I will post what's needed to be fixed soon today..the latest is tomorrow.. Is it okay Shahram?

    Cheers,

    Dustin

    Default SAR ADX EA

    Hi Dustin,
At first I modified your EA but it did not give a good resultant because de condition for buying and closing the trade was exactly the same. That’s why I started from the scratch.

    This are the trading setup:
    • Buy: IF (SAR Current < Bid Price AND ADX>25)
    • Sell: IF (SAR Current > Ask Price AND ADX>25)
    • Exit Buy: IF (SAR Current > Ask Price AND SAR Previous<Ask Price)
    • Exit Sell: IF (SAR Current < Bid Price AND SAR Previous>Bid Price)

I just find out that I made a wrong description on the settings page. This one is the latest version.

Just let me know what’s needed to be fixed. I'm taking a long weekend and will be home on Sunday night. I will pick it up as soon as possible.

    Cheers
    Shahram

    Cool First Plan

    Hi Shahram,

I have analyzed most of the data of the EUR USD and EUR GBP from 2008..
This are the indicators I used:
    - SAR step 0.04 max 0.2
    - RSI period 15
    - ADX (Typical price HLC/3) period 15 - To measure market reaction
    - MA1 (moving average) (Exponential apply to close) period 15 - I'm not sure if I'm using this right now, but this is for measuring the short term Trend.. I might use this later after we improve our EA..
    - MA2 (linear weighted apply to close) period 120 - to give a big picture of the Trend
    - StDev (method exponential) period 3 - To measure market volatility because SAR works good during high volatility market..

Make sure you store the value up to previous 10 because it can be used for the Psychology part of market later on..

First thing is that I want to make sure we buy at the right time, because we profit or losing will depend on if we buy or not. So this is the first step.

    For opening a buy/sell,
    I would make 4 distinction..
    1. if Current MA2 below the previous close price with Buy (Long) SAR signal
    2. if Current MA2 below the previous close price with Sell (Short) SAR signal
    3. if Current MA2 above the previous close price with Buy SAR signal
    4. if Current MA2 above the previous close price with Sell SAR signal

For now, I would concentrate on part 1 of the program, which I already analyzed the data on EURUSD and EURGBP to have this similarity:
    For part 1:
We can only buy (Long) if:
    a. 0.001 < previous standard deviation < 0.006 this is to prevent fake signal since sometimes when the market is too calm, someone would excite the market, resulting in very high standard deviation, which then the price would fall again, and we want to prevent this.
    b. Previous RSI < 65
    c. [previous two standard dev (STDev) > 0.008 and prev 3 STDev >0.008 and prev 4 STDev > 0.008 ] or [previous 2,3,4 RSI <65]This is to measure the psychology level of people.. since they are constantly low, so there is a higher chance of breaking up.. i don't use level 50 in the RSI because I'm including a risk factor..
d if the previous ADX<25, The lot is twice bigger than the actual input of Lot (Lot Multiplication) I chose this because when market is too calm, there is a high chance that it'll rage soon, and that's where SAR excels..

For the exit Buy, it can be just like the previous one.. (if SAR change direction) since I haven't analyze on when to exit, so we leave it to SAR for now. I will Analyze soon..

Remember to put "Long only" when backtesting and make sure that the program only buy if the MA2 is lower than the previous Closed price.. I'm pretty sure this will work real good..hehe.. It'll run on any currency with a proper tuning.. We let SAR do the buy or sell coz SAR usually holds for a while and we just need to filter the info - when to get into and exit.. =)

Also your back testing had a lot of Miscalculated Chart error.. see it..

For the trailing stop, I would say, put 100 to 150 pips, and the stop loss as 80 to 150 pips
Also, You can try this setting on EURGBP and I'm sure it will still works..=)

    Dustin

I forgot the most crucial thing!! hahaha... I make it as point e

point e says that, there has to be a SAR on the same side before the current SAR.. So i don't know how you will code it, but let me guess:
if (previous SAR < previous close price)? doesn't matter which price we use for this..

    Enjoy,

    Dustin

    WOW This is great..
The part 4 of our EA was "if Current MA2 above the previous close price with Sell SAR signal"
Now for the Part 4 is just similar to part 1, but backward..

Remember to set it only sell, so the "Long/buy" is restricted to this part - similar with part 1 where we can only buy on that part..

this is the restriction - We can sell if this is true:
    a. 0.001 < previous standard deviation < 0.006
    b. Previous RSI > 35
    c. [previous two standard dev (STDev) > 0.008 and prev 3 STDev >0.008 and prev 4 STDev > 0.008 ] or [previous 2 and 3 and 4 RSI > 35]
    d. if the previous ADX<25, The lot is twice bigger than the actual input of Lot (Lot Multiplication) I chose this because when market is too calm, there is a high chance that it'll rage soon, and that's where SAR excels..
    e. There must be one SAR signal on the same side, before the current SAR, in order for selling to be true, so it must be "if (previous SAR > previous close price)"

point a,b,c,d,e must be satisfied in order to sell (short)

This simplifies our job a lot.. Maybe we can just input the value of STDEV, RSI, etc once..

    Cheers,

    Dustin
