Fxcbs not listed with CFTC
Fxcbs are not even listed with CFTC. See http://www.cftc.gov/stellent/groups/...ta0409-xls.xls
These days I would (and you should) only trial FX brokers that are listed with CFTC and have a large customer base (judging from their Net Capital). You can also see some MM brokers listed with CFTC are very small. You may have heard of some names but their capital size worries me. Please note in the United States, customer margin deposits are not FDIC insured or segregated. There are only a few (e.g., CitiFX Pro and Interactive Brokers) that offer FDIC type of insurance against your margin deposits.
Also note that most MT4 brokers are MM. MB Trading is one I recently trialed. They are an ECN with incredibly tight spread (tightest I have ever seen) but their MT4 is still in beta testing. However, their tight spreads (and the fact that they don't trade against their customers) come at a cost; you pay a commission (works out to be around $8.00 per trade or $4.00 per buy or sell and $4.00 to close a position). But if you're scalper you would need a broker who could offer you very tight spread.
