Oanda & MT4
Hi
Oanda is of a long Time my Forex Broker. I have traded only manuell. Now i have made a lot of backtest with a lot different EAs. Now i will do forward test with the best EAs.
Now my Problem:
Same Settings with different EAs:
With Alpari: It works how it must. Perfect Trades at all.
With Oanda: Sometimes it makes trades, but often no Trades!? Same Settings like Alpari....
Maybe do you know what I can not see?

same here. Some EAs on Onada doesnt work correctly.
i recently found out, that oanda is dropping the Magic number on pending Orders.
Maybe that's the reason for your problems?!??!?!?

I do some test with Demo Accounts of Oanda and Alpari. I do this with the naked Bars Price High Low EA, without any TP, SL etc... in the code. It looks like that Oanda is very often too late to to open a Trade. I lost very often some Pips. Not that Alpari is perfect, but in the Demo much better then Oanda...
Some Ea`s work on Oanda Mt4 some not, maybe you are right with the magic Number...
I think its the Problem to hang the mt4 Plattform frontend to the Oanda Plattform. MB, Ducascopy has also the Problem with the frontend Setup i think.
Das mt4 frontend an schon bestehende Systeme anzuhängen scheint nicht besonders gut zu funktionieren. Was ich in Foren gelesen habe schien MB ähnliche Probleme gehabt zu haben, Ducascopy hatte wohl auch ziemlichen Aerger damit???

zu MT4 Oanda:
Beta-Version und Oanda verwendet eine MT4 Bridge und nicht das MT4 interne Plugin.
Insofern erhälst Du hier andere Kurse etc, das ist aber bei brokern normal. Keiner hat exakt die gleiche Kursstellung wie seine Kollegen.
Es werden PC zwischengeschaltet, um Kurse zu glätten. Wie gut ein Broker wirklich ist, weißt Du erst, wenn Du live handelst. Beachte dann das stop-hunting!! Ich habe mit meinen Systemen gute Erfahrungen
mit ActiveTrades, mit Alpari weniger gute.

Servus die Herren,
möchte dies erweitern:
- Bridges glätten keine Quotes, sondern das macht der eigene Broker/Market Maker (MT4) Quote Server, welcher sich von den verwendeteden Banken des Brokers die Quotes holt
- die teilweise unterschiedlichen Quotes kommen daher das z.b. ein US Broker US Banken verwendet, UK Broker UK Banken verwendet, manche mischen, aber meistens gibt es Verträge!
- Bridges sind nur "Übersetzer/Interpreter" von einer Programmiersprache in die andere, so z.B. vom dotNet nach C/++/#
- somit hat ein Broker/Market Maker minimum: 1x Quote Server (Banken Anschluss) 1x Orderbook Server (für Retail) 1x Backup Server und meistens einen Clearing Server ! dies gilt auch für futures, aktien, optionen, etc.
- Im Falle Oanda ist es von MT4 Klient (C ähnliche Sprache) nach Java, da der Original Oanda Klient in Java geschrieben ist, bzw. der dahinterliegende Orderbook und Quote Server Java versteht, aber kein MT4 direkt daher die Bridge
- Oanda lässt kein Hedging zu, wie alle US Broker
vergessen:
- wer das konto für dukascopy hat <50k kann sich auch seinen ea in java schreiben lassen und direkt über ein API and den Dukascopy Server ankoppeln, ist in jedem Fall schneller als MT4! perfekt für Scalper und wirklich zeitkritische Orders.
