Thread: 1-Minute EA for EUR-JPY needs MaxOrders function added and/or a function to...

Hello, all---I have been tweaking and modifying this EA for some time, and have tried each of the
presently-available Funyoo methods for adding a MaxOrders function to no avail;
This EA on Sell-Only (has GREAT potential, someday will adjust to Buy also)
simply has nothing in it to keep it from placing more than one order at a time, which causes the TakeProfit of the oldest trade to become that of the newest trade, whereby the first trade is cancelled-out at a loss once the newest trade hits its TakeProfit of a mere 10 pips, on my platform at Forex.com. If it were not for the new rules regarding
FIFO, this would not be a problem, but i really need to modify this EA with your help in-order to get-around this to continue further testing for the benefit of all. I actually need it to be done FOR me, unfortunately, as it is not of the usual format we see on here all the time. Honestly, it should be MORE profitable with either new feature in-place!
So,
1. User-Selectable # of Max Orders, and also or alternately,
2. TakeProfit that becomes the same as the OLDEST of the active trades (ever heard of that?);
these are the things that could make this EA really fly. Together would be outstanding,
but 1. is more important
I have seen it WORK, i have made real MONEY with it, and i have not been able to add the function(s)
myself---goodness knows, i have tried-----please help, and thank you. See below for results.

Is this ea not working for anyone, or is there anything i can explain/say/do to illicit
a response? It seems that with a graph like the one provided,
this would be of interest to the avid EA researcher. There are other settings that
i have for this EA, but the graph speaks for itself, for its settings. I am hoping that with only
one trade at a time and/or with the special take profit function, which we could ALL use to
some degree, this EA will be of some use to us, even more than thus-far.

youre backtest is wrong not 90% or 99% model quality

Here is a version with configurable MaxOrders.
Maybe I'll do the TP stuff tomorrow.

yeah, that 90% dream we all have. ANY% is better than the way i manually trade, lol---

Here we go, the final version. TP is to be calculated depending on open positions. If there is one, new TP is set to the valu of the existing positions.

That's the greatest thing i've ever seen in an EA! To see it finally work, in BOTH cases, has made my week---

This will open-up a whole new room full of things i can try with this now,
not to mention other pairs that it can perform with. Initial live testing to commence in about
5 minutes, as the previous (max orders) version cashed-in for me last night about 20 minutes after opening.
And, today is a new day---(!)-----newboy

this EA works very well now in my opinion but up until i had submitted it here there was no problem with a huge swing in the wrong direction (upward); however, the last few days to a week had proven to stump this EA on the tester...
So, here is a better set to work with that did not get caught in the 'updraft' of what is happening recently in EUR-JPY, either on the tester OR in live trading. i have the EA set at Max Orders of 2 and
short-only, and have been seeing daily profits just by leaving it alone.

Well, upon further testing and knowing that not everything is gonna work as well or as poor as on the tester,
i am a bit embarrassed to say that i DID still have the same problem just-now at the end of the test, where the DD was
very high compared to what i had seen in previous experience. So, try the new setting anyway---
for anything other than a huge upswing in EUR-JPY, the only pair i have had this work on, it works great when the
market is ranging and it HAS BEEN doing well until this little snag in the line---many thanks to CodingChris,
and i will try to use the same changes to another (few) EA(s) that could use the same tactic:
