Here is the expert advisor based on the Volatility Quality Index, a well known indicator.

EU H1. Since january 2008. Settings : Crash=false; TimeFrame=0; Length=15; Method=3; Smoothing=1; Filter=5.

Total net profit : 35.13%
RDD : 8.89%

EU H4. Since january 2008. Settings : Crash=false; TimeFrame=0; Length=15; Method=3; Smoothing=5; Filter=15.

Total net profit : 14.22%
RDD : 10.98%

A second version with two VQ indicators. We enter when an arrow appears on the big VQ, but also on the small VQ at the condition that it is confirmed by the blue/red line of the big one. The exit is made at the next opposite signal.

How did you put both VQ indicators together? Can you post the template file?

Just drag the second VQ indicator on the first one (the indicator's window instead of the chart).

I still dont get it funyoo.

open up your navigator and find your custom indicator...drag it over...the first one will be ok with the defaults...then drag it over a second time (drag it into your newly formed indicator pane...do not drag it into the price chart) but change the inputs to be length=2 not 5 ...then you should see both...if you do not change the second one it will lay over the first one and you will not understand that you have two indicators cause' you cannot see it...

Go into your indicator list by right clicking on the chart and control you have only two of em'....

Is it that bad ? ☺ I just started testing this. If I like it and it fits me...I will try several combo's....This may take a while because I use the two line version that funyoo posted. If I do not post better settings here..that means I dropped it...perhaps others here have tried this and can share?

P.S. Perhaps the VQ indicator works better on some pair than others...I really do not know....it would take extensive testing...
