Any personal EA recommendations? I've currently put my live account away until I can figure out which of the free EAs are the most profitable longterm. I know funyoo has a list already, but that doesn't help me in live forward testing on demo accounts. I'm playing with most of the ones ranked towards the top though.
I'm just looking to recover my losses from being too trusting with commercial EAs. In the meantime, I've busted myself learning about manually trading forex, and practicing doing that on demo accounts too.It really comes down to greed, i have said this many times before, if you are happy making 3 to 5% a month which i am then there are quite a lot of robots that can do this over the long term.
I'm not touching my live account again until I can formulate my own system. (should have done this in the first place)
Eventually though, something that can complement my monthly day job salary would be a huge bonus![]()
EA actually consists of two systems in one, long term eurusd and scalping eurgbp.
Now there's an unique opportunity to achieve this.
Eurchf is doing great at the moment. With a little monitorring and adjusting the settings on a dauly basis, like avoiding trading during important economic and finacial news, this EA can be doing great!
look here for an alpari demo with fapturbo, LRR set at 20, GMT at 2, rest default.. seems to work OK, isnt it? I do not complain at 20% a month!, compounded!
MT4 Stats - Share your MetaTrader 4 Statements with the world
The bad news is that Alpari live is not half as good as their demo! (but still OK though, what I heard, I have a live account with another broker)
At the Forexpeacyarmy website they have an alpari demo on standard settings trading eurgbp and eurchf only, and is doing very well the pst two weeks.. At the end of April it had 4 consecutive stop losses.. that was bad!.. I can imagine you want your money back when you purchased just one or two weeks before and see your account allmost wiped by these 4 trades.. but note the period after that, it has allmost recovered these huge losses allready.
Also Fapturbo has released an update today, and with this one the stop losses can be adjusted, but default they allready have lowered the s/l for eurgbp from 112 to 35 now, so these huge losses will mot happen anymore, many people were complaining about that.
Conclusion is you should not look at one or two weeks, because when you happen to be in a bad period you may get the wrong impression, looking at it over longer periods of time, like 3 to 6 months, you will see Fapturbo is profittable.

I can only say:
when they started they had 3 live statements of their website which updated automatically. The $500 account was wiped out already when I saw it last ( before they have changed the website-look ) and the $3000-Account lost a whole lot, too...
Now they have made a deal with a so called ECN-Broker....and they are now showing only those results.
As for me, I personally stopped Fapturbo-trading altogether for now. The robot is designed for quick in and out, but trades often stay open for HOURS and this causes the robot to close the trades hopefully at BE, but never in profit.
Another issue is, that many Brokers have set new rules after Fapturbo hit them so hard in November, December and January. Mostly you had only permission now, to use it on an account with variable spread.
And, at least this is true for Activtrades, there magically the spread raises either when the robot wants to open a trade or wants to close a trade....so either you donīt get a trade at all or the profit will be tiny.
Then there are many disconnects during Asia session which is also bad for the robot, and so forth....
So it comes down to better not to use it until the market is more liquid and the conditions have been changed.
I gave it another try several times...and ALWAYS got the same bad result... ( on both Alpari and Activtrades....
This is just my observation and experience. Good for everyone, who still makes a few pips with it.

At the moment faprturbo is doing very well for me, it is doing just as well as megadroid. My last 12 fapturbo trades were all winners and i have been trading with spreads greater than 6.
The key to any robot is keep the risk settings low, 1 to 5% max, ok you dont make heaps of money but that will you will allow your account to grow steady even with the losses in between!
Fapturbo ECH EG GCH UCA M15
I have been having mixed emotions with FAPTurbo, but overall I think it is a pretty good scalper. I got used to having entire weeks without having a SL hit and no losing trades. That makes you lazy. The truth is you always have to keep an eye on the news and the market to adjust your settings. Just by doing this I have been getting more profitable by the trade. I'm using 4 commercial systems and 4 free systems and I prefer FAPTurbo over the rest so far.
Take care...

Hi Wolfidan,
yes I have tested piptronic on a demo account, good results, but you have to limit the trading on the asian session (24-6 CET), possible to fix in the settings. Until now (one week test) only positive results.
During the asian session there is not much movement, only an up and down of few pips. The EA follows this zick-zack successfully. Important because of small trades: spread of EURGBP 3 or less continuously. But I have a problem: it doesnt run on my live-account, there is always a message in the experts-news: "zero divide". What is your experience, does it go on your live account and if yes, with which broker?
Thanks and good trading.
