Leverage will help us to trade with small amount. We must be wise in using leverage for trading because the risk also big.For trading, i just use leverage 1:500 from TenkoFx and it helps me to control emotion when trading. And i think new trader also should use that leverage for trading.

I prefer trading with small leverage as 1:100 or 1:200. Even my broker hotforex support high leverage up to 1:1000 but I think higher leverage come a long with higher risky. Earn not too much is better than lose everything.

Leverage is good and it seems very attractive for traders but a trader should be very skillful in order to make use of such leverages. or else he could end up in trouble.

we must be careful in choosing leverage due to the leverage of trading we will get the maximum results if we could choose the leverage that in accordance with our trading, for that we need to use a demo account to test the leverage of the broker. I prefer trading using leverage of 1: 500 of tenkofx

The more leverage you have, the more money you can make.
Also, the more leverage you have, the faster/more you can lose.

    It's up to you.

But at least it introduced me to forex which has been my drug of choice for the last 2 years. My leverage has stayed at 400:1 on my account since. I don't place trades without stop loss and take profits and have done fine. What are the drawbacks or benefits of this? I use IBFX but read on Oanda that "professionals" never use over 50:1 leverage. I hope this is not a repeat thread but searched and could not find one similar.

    Thanks,

My preferred leverage is 1:1. I like keeping it low. I never go beyond 1:2.

IKR? High leverage is a double edged sword. Very dangerous. In risk management,we are always cautioned against it. I don't know why some people still like going for it. I guess they haven't learnt their lessons yet.

I'm envious I use 1:500, but it's a bit higher then I would like to have.

Yes, leverage is double edged sword and it will make us get loss if we can not maximize leverage as long as as possible. We also must be discipline. I think 1:500 is enough, not too high and not too low for trading.
