Thread: Multiple E A Question

  1. #1

    Default Multiple E A Question

I understand that I can run multiple E A's (using the same pair and TF) if I use different Magic Numbers.

If I run different E A's with different Magic Numbers is their any way I can look at the "Save as Report" and distinguish which E A did what?

    Another question

I often see *.tpl and *.set connected with various E A's.
Can someone please explain what these mean and how to use them and install them?

    Thanks

Not sure about your first question, but you can right click on the trade terminal and click “comments” which will show you the magic # and EA info.

*.tpl is a template file, templates are used to save loading up all your favorite indicators on the chart every time you run your trading platform.

*.set is a preset file, when you find a good set file you can save it in the preset file, instead of manually changing all the parameters you just use a preset file.

    Thank you for your reply.

Where do I load the *.tpl and *.set files and how do I bring them into play?

    Thanks again

    Start-----programs------accessories------windows explorer-----my computer------system (c drive)------program files------your trading platform FXDD for example------experts------presets folder for *.set files-------templates folder for *.tpl files.

When you open your trading platform and have a chart loaded, right click on the chart and then click on template-----load template, find the template you wish to use and double click on it.

When you have a chart up and you first load an EA you will see a tab that says load, click on this and then your preset folder should come up, click on the relevant preset.
