    Default Swvps Very Bad

I've had SWVPS for a few weeks now. They have had NUMEROUS problems....mostly their servers stop working....which means MY METATRADER ALSO STOPS.....COSTING ME $$'s....The Customer service is NEVER AVAILABLE. Does anyone have a reliable VPS??? with REAL PEOPLE 24/7??? I can not rely on SWVPS with my $$'s......

I singed up SWVPS about two weeks ago. I found the service is too slow and the connection drops at times. I had hatrd time to connect sometimes. I seriously doubt one can successfully run EAs on SWVPS.

Indeed, this week there were a lot of issues. I have been able to reach the support each time through the support center, but you are right that was very annoying especially on accounts with real money.

    Some other alternatives :

    - 19.50$/mth 1&1
    - 30$/mth CNS
    - 14.95€/mth EuroVPS
    - 35$/mth ForexVPS
    - 41.97$/mth Godaddy
    - 39.95$/mth LunarPages
    - 49.95$/mth PowerVPS
    - 22.50$/mth SolarVPS
    - 29$/mth UltraHosting
    - 18/mth VPSLand

If I remember well the most popular on web hosting boards is SolarVPS. For the equivalent features comparing to SWVPS, the price is 56$ per month.

Note that CNS and ForexVPS are specialized in trading platforms hosting.

Keep us updated if you find something reliable.

Yes, I have the same problem. I can not logon my VZPP for a week, event the EAs stop working after close trade and so on....

    Here is what they said:

    Hi,

Why the EA just closed trade and I open it again but it's not working anymore ?

    Thank you,

    Hello,

This I don't know. I know that the Server, Network and your VPS are all online. Check that the Windows Firewall is not blocking the software.

    Thank you

    John,
They do know there have been problems....they attributed it to DDOS attacks by "criminals"...Just because they say you are online doesn't mean it's been online continuously.....(you know it hasn't if you couldn't log on and your EA stopped) I'm still researching.... Funyoos list.... Think I'm going to give VPSLAND a test...

    Default VPSLand

I have two VPS with VPSLand as I forward test a lot of expert advisors. So far I had no problems such as reboots, internet disconnection or freezing. Support tickets are answered quickly. For those using a VPS, a very good free software for remote access is Teamviewer.

I have tested EuroVPS and VPSLand for only two days.

    What I have noticed :

I have taken one month with their biggest offer.

    VPSLand - 3096Mb

The price is theorically correct. It is quite slow as I'm located in Europe. It can support only 12 Metatrader platforms, that's very disappointing for traders like me that like to test a lot of codes! When I try to open a 13th platform, there is a ton of bugs. They have certainly a bad CPU. It's clearly too expansive in practice (68$ per month) if we can't have more opened applications. I have still to see about the downtime. However, for the moment, I don't intend to renew it.

    EuroVPS - 2048Mb

The price is too expansive (118.95€ per month! tax included). I have never seen a such fast server. It is even faster than my computer! Here too, it can not support more than 20 platforms. When we launch a 21st MT4, nothing happens. It seems that there is a kind of hidden limitation for heavy softwares. I have asked them, they have increased the number of processes but nothing has changed. Apparently, they have a reliable network from what we can read on the web. Depending on the downtime, it should be a good solution for real accounts (for people with money).

Is someone working with SolarVPS ?
